The Motel is located in Cooke City, MT, a small community of a couple hundred people (at most) just outside of the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. All of the accommodations in town are a bit on the rustic side. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel with room service, a pool etc., you won't find it in Cooke City. If you are looking for a quiet, clean, well cared for property with polite owners & managers, this motel is the place for you. I've stayed here on numerous occasions, have enjoyed each stay & without any hestiation, will stay there again.

So nice close to the Yellow Stone NP. Across the street a Saloon with amazing pizza. I recommend this property.

Great place, our fav in Cooke City

I cannot say enough great things about Alpine in Cooke City! Chad the manager goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. The place is located in the middle of Cooke City with an array of rooms to stay in. The WiFi is great, as Cooke City does not have cell service. The laundry room is clean and free for guests! The northeast corner of the park has amazing wildlife, fishing and getting away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park. We stayed at the suite next to Miners restaraunt and the building is 128 years old! Highly recommend to enjoy all things Yellowstone and taking things at a relaxed pace.

I NEVER SAW THE STAFF. I DID LIKE THE HUGE FLOWERS, HOWEVER, THEY WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DOOR AND SO TO GET LUGGAGE IN AND OUT OF THE ROOM YOU HAD TO GO AROUND THEM. KEEP THE FLOWERS JUST MOVE THEM OUT OF THE WAY. THE STEP UP TO THE ROOM WAS KIND OF HIGH AND SO I WORRIED I MIGHT TRIP ON IT. THE ROOM IS SHOWING ITS AGE, THE SHOWER UPSTAIRS IS LEAKING AND YOU CAN HEAR IT WHEN THEY TURN IT ON AND THEN SEE THE WATER MARK STAIN ON THE CEILING IN OUR BATHROOM. THERE WAS NOT NOISE CANCELLING INSULATION IN THE CEILING AT ALL. THEY NEED A NEW OR BETTER VACUUM. WHEN I REMOVED MY SHOES AND WALKED AROUND THERE WERE ROCKS AND DIRT THAT WERE ON THE CARPET AND WE ALL TOOK OUR SHOES OFF. IT WAS A QUAINT PLACE IN A WAY OUT AREA . WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO NOT HAVE AMENITIES, NO POOL, NO BREAKFAST. HOWEVER, THE PRICE WE PAID WAS TOO MUCH FOR THE ROOM WE GOT. I DON'T THINK I WILL STAY HERE AGAIN, I WILL PAY A LITTLE MORE FOR A BETTER QUALITY HOTEL, WHEN I COME THROUGH AGAIN.

It's an old motel in a small town. Travelers are going to and from Yellowstone. Great place to stop. Can walk to restaurants for dinner. The room was clean and spacious. If I were doing this sort of trip again, I would definitely stay there.

Staff was great and accommodating. The post reservation email we received contain great information. We did find that a lot of places opened later because not enough tourist traffic or help to open early. Very nice little town.
