The seal at the bottom of the door to the outside had a gap in it, which let it a fair amount of cold air. Otherwise it was good.

Really suprised in the middle of nowhere to find this jewel of a motel

proximity to Yellowstone's NE gate and the large well appointed rooms

I was told WiFi was weak “all around town.” This was not true as the signal was great and strong at the AWESOME food place, Montasia across the street. Instead, they’re WiFi is terrible. Also, we had a very hard time opening as closing the door of our room. Really in need of some work.

Great place ! Love the town. A must is lunch or dinner at Beartooth Cafe next to Alpine Motel.

The room was spacious and clean and the staff seemed accommodating. It felt as though the bathroom end of the room was added on at a later time and it tilted down at a very noticeable angle - when taking a shower I felt as though I was going to fall through the wall into the back yard. The window screens were all torn and we had to get tape from the office to temp repair them. There was no a/c, and little wind got into the room, so it was a bit warm at night.

It wss nice accomodation, but the neighbors I believe were local and different people came in and out untill the wee hours at night. Was unsettling.

Pros: location, bed, new interior paint. Cons: thin walls to couple in next room, whining showers.

The Mountain View was amazing Room was good size and clean Perfect spot to start first day into Yellowstone

Super clean property. Very friendly staff. Recommend.

There were people above us that stomped and made excessive noise from the minute we checked in at 3 pm until the minute we had enough and just left at 5 am. Not sure what was going on in 1A, but we paid a lot of money to stay there and our experience was horrible.

WiFi was unstable. Most times there was no connection.

Was a decent room for a Night stay. Staff was very accommodating.

Nice place to stay near Yellowstone Lamar Valley. Small, beautiful town on the Mountain foothills.

Room was comfortable and clean. Very basic room but enjoyed the location close to the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. Would have loved to have an additional night stand next to bed with lamp.

Needs updating. Heavily stained carpet. Floors sloped badly especially around toilet. Bathroom door wouldn’t shut. No coffee pot or hair dryer in the room. Microwave had a lot of crumbs in it. We spent most of our two night stay in Yellowstone Park thankfully. There was at least a 2 inch space under the door. Won’t stay again nor recommend. The fellow at the desk, however, was pleasant.

Adequate for short stay. Very fitting to the town's character. Spacious and well equpped rooms. Welcoming staff.

Clean, comfortable room. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice kitchen. Blinds needed on windows.

It is a OK hotel if you can't get cabin inside park

Hi Mitch, We are sorry you had such a miserable stay with us. I definitely apologize for the poor WiFi. I'm so glad Montasia was able to help with your WiFi connection in town. The WiFi continues to be weak ALL OVER TOWN. It is very intermittent. Today, one place's WiFi will be great. And on other days, ours will be great. The provider is servicing the area and we hope they will be done soon and everyone in Cooke City can have great WiFi. We would love to see you again when that happens. As always, be well and safe travels.

Thank you so much for taking a few minutes to review your stay with us at the Alpine Motel. I apologize for the uneven floors in your room. This tends to happen to any building in towns with tremendous snow melt and run-off. Our property turned 80 years old this year. And it has experienced 80 years of snow melt and run-off from the mountain directly behind your room. The ground becomes extremely saturated and never gets a chance to dry out. This tends to cause uneven floors in buildings all over Cooke City and towns just like it. I do see where the frame for one of the window screens is bent and I will take care of that immediately. However, the screens themselves were not torn when I checked the room. And I assure you that you were not going to fall through the wall into the back yard. We definitely appreciate your feedback. And if you find yourself in the area again, we would love to have you stay with us and see all the changes and upgrades we are continuously doing to our guest rooms. Best wishes and safe travels.

Thank you so much for taking the time to rate your visit with us at the Alpine Motel. I'm so sorry about the thin walls. Our buildings are 80 years old this year and although we have done some remodeling with new paint, fixtures, and carpet, there is not much we can do structurally. Should your travels return you to the area, we would look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes.
