The rooms are in need of updating especially the bathroom. More importantly, I requested room service the day before and in the morning. I came back to hotel to drop stuff off in room. The room was not cleaned. I went to front desk and again requested room service. The front desk clerk stated he would have it cleaned. We came back later that eventing to an unclean room. When I went down to ask why and to a minimum get fresh towels the Same front desk clerk told me that the cleaning crew had left before I went to front desk. I asked why he would straight out say the room would be cleaned when he knew what time they left . I got a blank noninterested and IDGAF look. Why would he straight out lie to me. As he dismissed me, I said I still need 4 sets fresh towels. He gave me two bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. I just looked at him in serious disbelief and walked away.

This is an older hotel that is definitely due for some upgrades. I understand that it is an "economy" brand, but I think more could be done to make the place a little more hospitable and pleasant. For starters, the lighting throughout the hotel seemed dim. In my room in the evening, even with every light on, it seemed barely light enough to read. It didn't help that the fixture above one of the beds was missing a bulb or that the fixture in the bathroom was dirty (see pictures). In addition, the carpet, especially in my room seemed past its useful life; worn and dirty. I kept my socks on the entire time I was in the room. The tub also had a stain (see picture). In addition, the sink drained very slowly and the "stopper" did not work. The only legitimate "common" area in the hotel was what looked like a breakfast bar (although there is no breakfast). There was nothing inviting about that space either (fun pictures, newspaper, etc). Yes, I saved a few dollars by staying here, but if I am ever in the area again, I will spend the money to stay at a nicer property.

It looks like it has seen better days but it was great. I would stay there if ever I was in Columbus. Esp as across the street from convention hall. The staff were precious and happy to take care of us. The place was quiet, clean and comfortable. They provided everything I needed. Good location for Restaraunts, shops and the river walk. No meals or bar inside but just outside the door.

Not happy

Very dirty very hot the air bearly worked no one was friendly it was honestly so disappointing then had to un safely walk across the street with my two young kids just to get to my car! I will not be staying again

The rooms are really lacking and I paid fir a "premium" room. The computer system for check-in and out are slow. I couldn't get a receipt when I checked out because of the slowness of their computer system or at least that's what the young kid said on our day of checkout which was 10:55am Sunday May 11th. AMOS WAS AMAZING THOUGH!

This property fails to inform of parking fees upon booking until you get there. Also the room is dirty and most of the outlets are broken with the bathroom having horrible drainage.

Has cons but definitely a great choice

It was overall amazing, the parking was weird and was confusing but once you got the hang of it it got easier? But you also have to pay for parking? Which i found weird plus a deposit for a safe your not ganna need so make sure to plan a extra $160 for parking and deposit, it was close to the venue and we just door dashed food so we didn’t have to drive out more than we had to but over all despite extra money I wasn’t expecting to spend for parking and the weird parking arrangements it was a great hotel to stay at and everyone was super friendly and that’s why I’m still giving 5 stars

Nice tavern nextdoor. The hotel doesn't have a morning breakfast . Staff was good. Room needs better lighting. Overall, Red Roof was good

Not recommended.

Room was dirty and there was mold on the ceuling in the bathroom. No toiletries provided. I was unaware we had to pay for parking during our stay.I dont recommend this hotel. For the price we paid there has to be something better in the area.

Was not a great experience, hundreds of dollars of hidden fees. Front desk people were unpleasant when we ask for new pillows that didn’t have makeup on them. Beds are uncomfortable and old, ventilation is poor, cracks in walls, ect. ect. Room will not be serviced during your stay unless you ask, do not forget to mention not using the safe, this is a hidden fee and I promise you they won’t bring it up. Spent over a 100 dollars in parking fees that we were unaware of until we arrived. Avoid this hotel unless you have no other choice. It’s worth spending an extra 60 a night over this.
