Good location; friendly staff; generous-sized room; cleanliness. The interior of the hotel is new and easy to maneuver, but entrance has several sets of steps. Saw elderly people and people with mobility issues struggling to conquer the steps, especially with luggage and no hand rails. Not accessible for wheel chair users.

A good stay on the whole.

We loved the building and entrance in particular. The design was lovely and our room lively. Excellent bathroom. All seemed very new. I felt the breakfast let the hotel down. Slightly chaotic and maybe not enough staff. Having to wait for fried eggs made things a little awkward when the rest of the breakfast food was laid out. Just not great.

Reception staff are lovely and the lobby area is very nice. We were allocated an accessible room which we did not require, I really hope that hotels think carefully before giving this room type to people who do not need one. It makes things more difficult for wheelchair users and is not necessary. When I pointed this out we were moved to another room quickly and with no trouble. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. The sausages and black pudding were dried out and inedible, the eggs were horrible. Only one coffee cup left and it had a stain.. I expect better food from Clayton hotels, Glasgow by contrast was fantastic. Overall a lovely hotel with the exception of the breakfast.

Short break for family of 3

We stayed in a deluxe room which had lots of room for the 3 of us. The bathroom was modern and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of continental meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, cereals, pastries and traditional cooked elements. The room was super quiet although we were in a lively part of the city. The reception staff were very helpful. Would highly recommend The Clayton Hotel

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good location in the centre of Bristol. The only negatives were that the bed is a small double so lot much space for two, and there is ventilation that is noisy in the room that cannot be turned off that kept us up at night. I would not recommend this hotel for light sleepers due to the noise. Other than this, everything was great.
