If you want to be in Bristol City Center, this is a great option. Clean, nice staff, abundant (but standard) breakfast, and comfortable. I would recommend.

The Clayton is in a great position for exploring Bristol. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely big room which was clean and comfortable with a great shower. We had a good nights sleep and the breakfast was excellent too. As we had a late train back, we were able to leave our bags for the day while we explored the city. I would definitely use this hotel again!

As usual, the hotel itself was lovely, but this time, check-in was a nightmare. Checked in online, but when the code was inputted into the kiosk to collect the key, it didn’t work. Went to the desk and the receptionist was very rude. She argued for some time that it was user-error, and would not listen to what the issue was at all. Luckily, the manager stepped in, listened to the explanation, pulled up the reservation and had the problem with the code fixed in seconds. Their professionalism and courtesy was night and day. The receptionist could use the same customer-relations training that the manager obviously received. It was an unfortunate way to start this stay (since everything about this hotel is usually wonderful).

All the staff were friendly and efficient, the room was quiet, spacious, well decorated, spotlessly clean and a pleasant temperature. The king size bed was comfortable and the heavy curtains blocked out the light well to aid a good nights sleep.

Fab comfy bed, sheets and pillows. Room was spotlessly clean and well laid out, bathroom spot on, could have done with a more powerful shower. Check in staff (Grace) was very helpful and had a lovely welcoming smile. Very plush lobby area with lots of seating. The whole hotel felt spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast. Highly recommended
