The room was modern and clean, and the bedding and pillows were especially nice. The neighborhood is very nice, with a great many coffee shops with wonderful pastries, shops, and restaurants ranging from traditional Spanish to pizza to dumplings to Peruvian cuisine.

The Hotel was clean, but small, quiet area, lots to do nearby. The only place to hang out and have a drink is the rooftop bar so in bad weather you'll end up in the hotel next door which was amazing. Breakfast not really worth the money for the options. Taxi stand steps away. So overall a great stay.

The room was clean and quiet, a bit small but we expected that in a big city. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning was excellent. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection for our two night stay. Our only complaint was the bathroom had partially frosted glass walls that cause the light to shine through at night when the bathroom lights were on.

Much better alternatives avoid this place

Whilst the images look great. It was unfortunately a let down. We turned up late in the evening, the gentleman who checked us in was so disinterested borderline aggressive. We waited several minutes before he decided to acknowledge us. Despite checking in online as per their email request he told us we had no booking which caused us concern. We reassured we did but he reluctantly checked us in. Sure enough he put us on the first floor right next to a lift with twin beds. We had the worst three nights sleep we could imagine not just because of the noise but also how uncomfortable the rooms were. Not ones to complain we stayed quiet but we don’t accept this is acceptable behaviour or a way to treat decent customers. It’s pointless calling us guests when you have staff who are allowed to treat paying customers this way. Aside from that whilst it’s a newish hotel I’d say the room is an average 2 star like a travelodge. Cleanliness/room service wasn’t the best and location whilst next to the metro is quite far from the attractions. With hindsight I’d never go anywhere near this place. For the cost, we felt we had been overcharged considerably. Shame as we have stayed at Barcelo hotels before and they’ve been fine. Being a gold member was pointless here too. The only plus was the guy who checked us out was extremely polite and sincere. We appreciated the kind service he provided
