They double booked my room and there were many people in the same boat. I am staying in my car and I have two kids with me, extremely disappointing considering I paid John and he knew I was travelling down with regular updates via text and until I got there he did not tell me until I was at the cottages. I am now taking these issues further, a lot further. I would strongly recommend not having this property on your website due to the number of people that he scams in a weekly if not daily basis.

The property was lovely and we had a wonderful stay. Although we were given instructions by the property manager John Woods to please deposit the payment ourselves to their specified account before they could give us check in details. We did that and received our check in information. After our stay they deducted the amount of our stay from our account themselves which meant we paid twice for our stay. We have tried to rectify this oversight with no luck at this point in time. O we have been left quite unhappy.

Great location but this property requires some upkeep by the owners. The toilet leaked, the shower was a dribble only and the general condition of the property needed some TLC.

The communication between the owners was a positive experience. The effort was made in cleaning and can understand the struggle when she’s alone. The sheets and blankets were clean though so that was a plus. The shower head sprayed upward drenching the bathroom so the property should look into that as all my clothes were wet. (5) The unit was way over priced for Easter weekend and def wasn’t worth the money . It is old and ramshackle and really cold even with an e heater. Would recommend getting wood if you’re going in winter . We didn’t expect 5 star but it definitely didn’t even really rate 1. We left early as I became extremely unwell overnight and the cold wasn’t helping . It just felt dingy. It’s been said they will be demolishing and erecting new units. It couldn’t come soon enough . We do thank them for the swift communication and the effort that was put into units that clearly are ready to be taken down . But we do plead they drop their prices to reflect the units themselves .

TV didn't work, said they would come and fix it and didn't turn up. Smoke alarm beeped all the time. Hot water tap in the bathroom sink didn't work. Power points would not switch properly. High price for the condition of the facilities. Place was cold with no air conditioning.

Run down and questionably clean.

My wife and I stayed one night, and I think we were glad it was only for one night. It was generally quite run down with fly screens that were ripped, and a couch that was falling apart. The cottage itself was pretty stuffy without the windows open, but with the windows open the ripped flyscreens let a lot of insects into the room. We didn't get a great sleep on the bed that was provided, but the worst thing is that we both woke up with really bad rashes all over our body, which we suspect was from the linen that was provided - we'd never experienced anything like it before. We were also surprised to read about a potential surcharge for cleaning if we didn't take out the rubbish ourselves or left the toilet/shower too unclean. It would have been nice to have been pre-warned about that before booking, and it makes us wonder if the cottages get cleaned thoroughly on a regular basis.

In need of an upgrade

Desperately needs some TLC. Not one flyscreen actually fit the window or didn’t have a hole in it. The furtinture is old and tired. Only blanket covered in dog hair. Very disappointing

Awful

This appartment had filthy stove and cutlery. A token amount of coffee was stuck together and had not been refreshed for ages. The bathroom floor needed scrubbing and shower curtain too short the keep water off floor. The holes in the ceiling allowed rubbish to land on the bed. No powerpoints in the bedrooms so no night lighting. The porch was not swept and cobwebs were clearly visible. For the exorbitant price we paid this was an insult and a downer to our family holiday.

Rustic accomodation close to river

Quaint old fashion accomodation. Old house with all the quirks that go with it. We loved the sloping floors and the noisy taps. The front verandah was our favourite place. Such a country feel with amazing ambience. Use this place with an open mind and it will enchant you. A step back in time.

great hotel

the hotel was great. the main bed was not a queen but a double, and there was a snake under the varandah for 2 days, and the hot water system did not last long. other than that the ground staff were friendly and helpful and check in / out was real simple. You can check in at any time.

expensive and shabby

these cabins are very outdated and very expensive for next to no facilities you even get the pleasure of emptying the bins and cleaning before you leave or they will charge you extra. Would have been helpful if they had supplied dish washing liquid. Fridge was dirty and the previous occupant had left their opened milk in it not there fault hope they didnt get charged. Cockroaches enjoyed sleeping the cooker as i woke them when i turned it on.
