Well it went like this: we paid for a King Size Suite with kitchenette. 1st room: not a king suite 2nd room: dirty & still being cleaned; king not a suite 3rd room: not a king suite After being sent to all 3 of these rooms with zero customer service or explanation, I went back to the desk again and the man Iust sat there and looked at me like I was supposed to solve my own problem. So I just stood there and looked at him til he was like what would you like me to do about it and I said I want the room I booked and if you are telling me there’s only one king size suite in the entire building and it’s out of order than I at least need a king size bed in a clean room that has a mini fridge and compensation for the down grade which is when he said he can’t compensate cause it’s third party and refused to do so. I shut up at that point as I could see there was no point in continuing to talk. He followed that up by saying oh well if you want a long room it’ll be on a different floor and I just looked at him. I’m pretty sure going from the third floor to the second to the first isn’t much of a problem comparatively 4th room: ALSO NOT A king suite. It was a half broken handicap room. We are most definitely not handicap. We never got the room we paid for.

1st room was messy. Clumps of hair and crumbs on bed, we switched rooms. Second room was ok. It sure needed an upgrade. They gave it a coat of paint. Wasn’t a good paint job. Some of the light switches, trims, toetrims and door ways were painted due to not taping it off. You get what you pay for. It was the cheapest option with a pool at the time. Kids running in hallway unsupervised. Pool was COLD. Smell of mold in the pool area. No towels in pool area. Breakfast was good and the guy working the breakfast area kept things cleaned and stocked. That’s why i gave it an extra star.

Some of the amenities were missing such as shampoo and body lotion, also there was no hunger in the room. Moreover, the lady at the front desk is so cold and unprofessionals, when I asked her if there is a post box around, she said “I know there is one in this neighborhood but I do not know where.” Then the conversation ended. She was not helpful, not friendly at all.

There was no breakfast left at 8am. The hotel desk person was not at the desk when we arrived and we waited 15 mins. Before she showed up. The cops were on site due to a situation and the entire stay was sketchy.

The room was clean and exactly as advertised for the price. One word of advice would to let the customers know that the hotel is also being used to help the people of western Alaska. If I were the manager I would separate the residents from the visitors. Only for the reason that those are completely different needs and timing. All the people from staff to residents to customers were outstanding. Not one negative experience. Price and room worth the price.
