Tourist wants and needs are ever evolving and to keep up with that, the travel world is constantly changing, too. In the hotel industry, that means staying on top of trends, from decor or food offerings to the latest amenities. Orbitz recently conducted a survey to see what types of dream amenities millennial travelers want as part of their hotel experience. Turns out, our audience (Americans aged 25-44) are looking for some pretty interesting perks, so we’ve rounded up some of the more popular ones here, and even added where you can already find them right now!

Bedding upgrades

Who doesn’t love finding a pillow menu on the nightstand in a hotel room? The ability to call down and snag a few more feathery soft pillows is what dreams are made of! Four Seasons properties are some of the best about offering bedding upgrades and we love the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. Here you can choose from a variety of different types of pillows (including hypoallergenic) and you can even purchase the bedding should you fall in love with it.

Fresh flowers or plants

A surprising 63% of those surveyed said fresh flowers or plants would make the room feel more like home. For these folks, we are glad to recommend the 1 Hotel brand, who lead the charge at bringing the outdoors in.  At 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge, you’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and living walls in the lobby, fern panels in the hallways, plants in the rooms and potting boxes in the bathrooms.

CBD cocktails or gummies

Not surprisingly, a lot of people would pay a little extra for some CBD cocktails or gummies in their room. A handful of hotel brands already offer CBD spa treatments but with the continuing rise in popularity, a few are also hopping on the edibles bandwagon. Known to be at the front of trends, The Standard (Miami Beach is one of our favorite outposts) recently partnered with Lord Jones, a leading boutique CBD brand, to offer blood-orange flavored gummies. Each gummie has 20mg of CBD to help you relax and unwind, and they’re hiding in the mini fridge in every room.

Cocktail mixers or kits

A good number of folks who took the survey said they’d be more apt to use the minibar if the hotel provided cocktails mixers or even cocktail kits. At  The Cape, a Thompson hotel in Los Cabos Mexico, every single guest room and suite comes with a bottle of Realeza Mexicana tequila, served alongside fresh orange slices, candied mango with chili powder, and other craft cocktail bar extras. If a Mexican holiday isn’t in the cards for you, here are 12 other hotels with in-room craft cocktail experiences you’ll love.

Hotel pajamas

We can all agree that hotel robes are the best so when we heard that some properties are also offering pajamas, we—like many of you—got excited. Working with Italian linen brand Frette, The Lowell Hotel in NYC has come out with beautiful 300-thread count PJs for men and women. But at $300 a pair, they don’t come cheap. We heard a rumor they sometimes give them out for free to guests. Here’s hoping you’re one of the lucky ones!

Kids toys

Any parent traveling with a kid knows you end up packing everything but the kitchen sink. Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to worry about including toys to keep the little ones entertained? Some properties, like the Chateau Saint Martin & Spa in Vence, France offers several toys to little guests and lets them keep them. On a recent visit, the toys were beautiful wooden animals with stretchy legs and colorful bodies that kept our little one entertained at every meal. Back home, she still reaches for these adorable toys with delight!

Free bus, train, or subway passes

Train travel is a must when visiting large metropolitan cities like Tokyo; it truly is one of the easiest, most affordable ways to get around. JR Hotel Group is one of the largest hotel brands in Japan and has 65 properties all located near train stations. Staying at one of their properties, such as JR Hotel Yakushima, means you’ll receive a discount on a Japan Rail Pass. This will help you make the most of all the sightseeing to be had!
