Instagram has proven over the last few years to be a huge driver in travel trends, bringing people to amazing places all around the world. With that in mind, we scoured thousands of Instagram accounts in search of the world’s most trending photogenic destinations. We compiled a list of 18 places for 2018 based on where IG royalty and top travel accounts recently ‘grammed. Here are our top picks for places to “get the gram.”

18. The Maldives
It doesn’t get too much more “Instagrammy” than picture perfect huts suspended over calm turquoise waters. The Maldives has been blowing up everyone’s feed recently and with more flights and mid-range accommodation options, it’s bound to be a hot spot in 2018.

17. Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
Located on Ireland’s rugged and windswept Atlantic shore, the Cliffs of Moher drop straight off to the sea more than 700 feet below. The dramatic cliffs have been Instagram’s favorite feature in Ireland and are helping to bring new visitors to the Emerald Isle.

Located in the desolate southeastern corner of Utah, right on the border with Arizona, is an American gem that—thanks to Instagram—is seeing a spike in visitors. The middle-of-nowhere “feels” you get out in Monument Valley are hard to top, and the scenery isn’t bad either!

Everything above the Article Circle is hot this year. If you haven’t made your way to the Land of Fire and Ice, you need book a ticket to Iceland ASAP. A slew of new budget Euro airlines have made it more affordable than ever.

If you love photography and unique landscapes, it’s hard to top the out-of-this-world Faroe Islands. If you follow any pro photographers, you’ve probably seen seemingly impossible looking rock formations and a lake dangling on the edge of a cliff.

The warm pink sunsets of Santorini have melted our hearts through our feeds. Meanwhile, the white and blue domed buildings of this seaside Greek island just scream, “Come and Instagram me!”

The past year has seen some of the world’s top Instagrammers spending significant time traveling around Bali. This southeast Asian gem has long been known for its surf, but Instagram has travelers chasing the island’s waterfalls, rice paddies, and small islands like Nusa Penida.

7. Banff National Park, Alberta Canada
Another great trend in Instagram-inspired travel is that it’s bringing us back to the mountains. In North America, mountains don’t get much more epic than the Canadian Rockies, namely Banff National Park. Add some turquoise glacial-fed lakes and you have the recipe for a perfect Instagram post.

With more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines has everything from stunning white sand beaches in places like Boracay to waterfall-filled jungles. The Instagram possibilities are just about endless here.

Images of stunning Norway flooded our IG feeds in the recent months with epic photos of everything from Northern Lights to far-flung Norwegian islands. Instagram is loving the chilly climes this year, and so should you!

4. Hong Kong
If the urban jungle is more your scene, it doesn’t get much bigger or better than Hong Kong. Frame the city’s famous skyline for an unforgettable Instagram pic.

3. Nairobi
Breakfast with Giraffes? Yes, please! If you can find an open room at Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, you need to book it at this one-of-a-kind hotel and giraffe rescue center. Instagram may have made it famous, but they have been saving Kenya’s Giraffes since the ’70s.

Surrounding yourself with sharks is sure to make your IG friends double tap. If Tahiti wasn’t already on your list, a few big name Instagrammers showed the world how bad ass it looks to swim with a few hundred sharks in the South Pacific.

With accessibility and global temperatures on the increase, you really need to put Antarctica on your 2018 travel plans. Plus, Instagram loves cute penguins! Consider a Antarctic cruise: It’s one of the easier ways to access this part of the world.
