Canada is the second largest country in the world, but only 35 million people are lucky enough to call themselves Canadian. According to the latest census numbers, more people live in California than all of Canada. With this massive country packed full of amazing landscapes and natural beauty, let us take you on a photo tour that might just leave you wishing you were Canadian. 1. Sunrise over Bow Lake between Banff and Jasper National parks along Canada’s Icefields parkway. The soft light is just starting to reach the peaks of the mountains as they reflect on the calm lake below. Not a bad way to start a day in Canada.

2. A young grizzly bear collecting his last bits of food before the cold long winter in Alberta. Wildlife spottings are common in this part of Canada. It may be cold in Canada in the winter months, but it’s just as beautiful.

3. Sunset at Castle Mountain is a must when visiting Banff National Park. The last light of thesun makes the rugged rock faces of Castle Mountain glow in soft pinks and oranges.

4. The Icefields Parkway is filled with picturesque mountains and still ponds along the 143-mile drive. Just about everywhere you look is another impressive mountain or beautiful landscape.

5. Boats park in the colorful water of the Valley of the 5 Lakes in Jasper National Park. The insides of the boats nearly match the color of the water of the lake. The water of the lakes in the area has a color that you’d normally onlythink possible in the tropics. Just another reason Canada is such an amazing place.

6. Just outside the village of Whistler is the aptly named Green Lake. A popular takeoff point for scenic flights over the village and the nearby Garibaldi National Park.

7. An elk in Jasper National Park looks after his herd during the peak of the mating season in late fall. These massive creatures become very territorial ready to defend against other males trying to steal away his females.

8. Lake Moraine in Banff National Park is one of Canada’s most famous photo spots. The water gets it’s famous turquoise color from the minerals deposited here from the glaciers craving the mountains. The tall and regal mountains in the background complete the image.

9. A short hike to the Peyto Lake viewpoint brings you to this beautiful Canadian vista. Like many of the lakes in the area, Peyto is the signature aquamarine colors. Fresh snow dusts the mountains and brings the photo to life.

10. Bright red chairs placed at the edge of one of the lakes in the Valley of the Five Lakes in Jasper National Park. Each of the lakes in the valley has colors that you’d easily confuse with the Caribbean. The bright blues and greens of these lakes will have you wishing you were Canadian for sure.

11. A view from high above Garibaldi Lake located in the park with the same name. The crescent-shaped lake is filled with mineral rich water and is stunning aqua color. Landscapes like this one seem to be nearly everywhere you look in this one of a kind country.
