We chose the Hotel Derby because it had received good reviews and it was in close proximity to the Zermatt railway station. As it turned out it was very cosy in a cabin style. We liked it a lot. Super hot bath. We ate there in the evening and received a 15% discount as a resident. We only had time for a quick breakfast in the morning but it was fine. My only criticism was with the pillow which I found to be too soft, but that is just a matter of preference.

There was a view of the Matterhorn which was spectacular. Enjoyed the restaurant on the premises, food was delicious. Was within walking distance from train station which was a plus. Accommodations were great. Wish we had more time in Switzerland to explore more.

Very nice remodeled hotel in a perfect location. The room was clean and quiet with the windows closed. Darling patio. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. This is an easy walk to the train station. I would highly recommend this place. The only downside was the restaurant. The waitress was very rude which surprised me. She doesn't care about her job at all. It was my worst experience in Switzerland. The breakfast was awful.

Very quaint hotel in an extremely central location. Only a few minutes walk from the railway station and situated on the main street in Zermatt. The rooms were spacious and appeared to be recently modernised. The rest of the hotel however, looks a little bit dated.
