The staff were great, the location is fab with the town, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. The room was big, clean and comfortable and breakfast was a good mix of fruit, pastry, cooked and continental, we couldn’t fault it. My only point for improving would be more water pressure for the shower…, but it was hot.

Warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to correct any and all concerns Very cute rooms, warm and cozy, nicely decorated. Clean, modern bathrooms. Great neighborhood, easy walk to the city center, easy for Uber rides, and some phenomenal restaurants only steps away: Chinese noodle soups, coffee/bakeries, and the Rose and Crown tavern, which has the best meat pies, Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding ive had yet in England. Highly recommend this hotel.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean. The only issue we had was we found the bed quite uncomfortable, the pillows were hard and the sheets were not very soft. This is obviously in reference to our preference though. Breakfast was very nice, we had some of the continental and also the specials for the day. We managed to get the last parking space in the hotel car par and this was at 1pm. Parking can be very tricky in the centre of York so bear that in mind. We found the hotel well located to the city and walked in and out with no problem.
