The Kawasaki Nikko hotel was in a perfect location! The train station was only one minute away by foot, and all the shopping and food you could imagine was only across the street. For Americans there was a McDonalds, kripsy kreme, and KFC with 2 minutes. The hotel and staff was excellent, and the hotel had an good resturant inside if you did not feel like going out. When i return to Tokyo this is where i will stay, the comfort and convenience are hard to beat.
Very well located, good breakfast buffet with both Japanese and typical American breakfast, lots of shopping close by, the rooms are simple, comfortable, with a desk and chair great for computer work. Very quiet in spite of being right in the middle of lots of city activity. Both Tokyo and Yokohama are close by on the JR train line. Very helpful in reception.
Our experience here was really good! We stayed here because it wasn't too far from the airport and it was at a reasonable rate. The hotel was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was right next to the Kawasaki station (1 minute). I recommend this hotel to couples or business people. It may not be the best for families.
We wanted to be able to go anywhere but have restaurants and shopping around the hotel at night. This hotel met all of our needs. We upgraded to a larger room and got the top floor and could see Tokyo from our window.
We landed at Haneda airport very late and were able to make the last trains to get to this hotel. Its very near both the metro and JR stations. Arriving from the metro from HND can get a bit confusing but the hotel is pretty much directly beside the JR station exit. The hotel itself was nice and clean, we only got a semi-double room which was quite small for two people, it was also relatively expensive for such a small room but we arrived during a long weekend so it was understandable and was still much cheaper than other hotels close to the airport. Some hotel bookings include breakfast though ours didn't. I'd recommend this place if you need a quick night stay after landing in Haneda, its near the rail stations so I guess staying there for a longer period of time to explore Tokyo might work.
