Stayed here overnight in 08/2014. Rooms are as you would expect, functional and tidy with a comfortable bed and satellite TV (lots of channels). Wifi worked well and speed was more than adequate for web surfing, though can't keep up with streaming video. Staff was courteous. Has a complimentary airport ...
...when it's -14F outside! You can access the mall without going outside. Took awhile to get used to the fact that the restaurant and bar associated with the hotel are actually out IN the mall, a short ways away. The hotel is like a service apartment with all the kitchen items and stuff. The decoration is a bit plain which just a normal rented apartment. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the normal hotel in Yellowknife. It is too to have starbucks coffee and hot tea in the lobby so that you can ...
Easy walking distance to several eating places and a convenience store. Room has a refrigerator. Very well insulated from the cold, hardly needed to run the heat in January - a few times I even had to prop open the door to let in some cool air! Would stay here again.
It is an old but solid hotel that is almost at the centre of the Yellowknife City. From there you can walk to the visitor centre, museum, city hall within 10 minutes. Can also walk to the Old Town within minutes. The hotel staff were very helpful and would give advice on where you could go during ...

Took awhile to get used to the fact that the restaurant and bar associated with the hotel are actually out IN the mall, a short ways away. This should be explained at check-in, especially because your hotel key is needed to enter and exit the mall during off-hours. Restaurant and bar were both a bit dated, but service was very friendly and food was good.

Wifi worked well and speed was more than adequate for web surfing, though can't keep up with streaming video. Staff was courteous. Has a complimentary airport shuttle shared with several other properties. Main advantage of the Days Inn over the Super 8 in town is that the Days Inn is located pretty much downtown while its competitor is on the city outskirts. The Trek Restaurant attached to the Days Inn was terrific. Only small oddity is that the air conditioner is physically located in the room like a small appliance and not wall-mounted (maybe this has to do with the cold temperatures in winter?); noise levels are comparable though so not a big deal.
This hotel is well located near Tim's, Walmart ,Coop, staples, subway and a very nice bar. Great to have breakfast included in the price
We stayed for 5 nights at Stanton. It was a warm, cozy place with kitchen, good for a family. Over all was very good. Hotel staffs were friendly & very helpful. Definitely will come back !
