The cable was broken for 2 days. The halls smelled like petroleum.

The staff is amazing. It is a clean, quiet place to stay.

loved every bit of our stay the staff is my all time favorite!

I like the patio and a nice comfortable bed. Nice quiet neighborhood and friendly M personnel.

Right next door to convention center. Nice property, the rooms are a bit dated. Staff is nice.

Plain rooms need updating. The service overall good.

Nice quiet big rooms. Great pool but black stuff is growing on the bottom. Front desk agents was friendly and helpful.

"Free highspeed Internet" advertised--didn't work the first night and was super slow the second. Staff tried to help--kudos to them. Otherwise, old hotel, run down.

fantastic location close to outstanding restaurants and easy access from the interstate. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Hotel rooms have bed bugs and are not clean rooms . Then when we told staff about bed bugs they tried to tell me I didn’t know what they looked like and that I was lying.

We were looking for an affordable stay without staying in a dive. Found a sale on the Red Lion at Yakima Convention center for a Friday night stay. I guess the timing was right as at most the hotel was half full and not baseball leagues or soccer league tournaments. Nothing against the leagues or tournaments, but the hotels at crazy and full during those times. We arrived 30 minutes before check in and our room was ready so we were checked in immediately. Desk staff was great and check in easy. The property is clean but you can tell it has seen some really busy days with minor wear on the aging facilities. With that aside the site is well maintained and comfortable with areas outside perfect for lounging including two pools! We stayed in the Garden section where you have an outside patio with table and chairs. Really nice to get the sun, eat a meal or just enjoy the setting. The room itself is dated but really clean. The in wall air conditioning unit is loud but the room is kept cool and with a super modern bed and nice pillows it was easy to fall asleep. There are more modern and new hotels in Yakima and this has seen better days for wear and tear, but still a nice comfortable and safe place to stay.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My entire soccer team stayed at this Red Lion but the hotel failed to associate us with the block of rooms I had reserved then CHARGED ME $1500 in cancellation fees even though we stayed there! I even provided receipts from each of us showing that we'd stayed there. Customer service wouldn't return my calls. Worst customer service, and worst hotel experience. They are criminals - save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else!

Was able to book last minute. Was in a car accident and did not have a way home till the next day. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Outside door (Motel Style). Old, felt like the 80's. Room was freezing and the heater didn't work. The bar was poorly staffed. Front desk was so nice. Was not worth the $175 ($200 after tax). It was more like a $95 room.

As a business traveler, the room is everything. This room had ancient carpet, no baseboards, terrible lighting, smelled, and you better be quick on your feet in the shower because it would suddenly go cold or super hot. After hauling my stuff into the lobby I had to reload all in my car and drive to the far end of the property. My entrance to the building with my room was adjacent to a run down apartment building. Positives: The staff was nice at checkin and the breakfast was good and well worth the $5.95. Overall it gets a 2 only because of the breakfast. Will never stay at this or any other Red Lion again.

I felt like this hotel is either going out of business or maybe changing ownership. There are signs of construction under way. The staff were very welcoming and helpful- it just seemed pretty minimally staffed. The restaurant opened about 45 minutes late because of staffing issues. The area is a bit sketchy it seems- but I did walk a few blocks on the main road to have dinner. I felt safe at the hotel. It was clean and quiet for the most part other than the thin walls which resulted in hearing toilets flushing and showers. I would say for the price it was alright-
