We were able to visit from Thursday to Sunday with some wonderful friends. The rooms were great! One minor issue with housekeeping and it was handled very promptly. We also did listen to the timeshare information from Wyndham and can honestly say it wasn’t as horrible as other reviewers made it sound. They told us one hour and it was one and a half hours. After reading reviews I was anticipating it to be a little longer. When we mentioned we were not interested at this time they were very kind and said hope to see you again. We also received our gift ahead of the timeshare presentation which was nice. The resort and water parks were very clean and super fun!!! We will definitely be coming back!!!
This is my second year in a row staying in the Wyndham at Glacier Canyon. I have three kids under 10 year’s old. We’ve only visited during the colder months, so I can’t comment on the outdooor experience here. 1. Perfect for younger families. My kids act like they were raised by dolphins. If your kids like water, there are three indoor water parks all connected so that you never have to walk outside. We lived with Summer clothes on the entire time, even with snow on the ground. If you can’t go South, but need a break, go here. 2. Well-staffed and very friendly. I’ve been to water parks before where I had little confidence in the staff either saving a life or noticing a struggling kid. Not here. They were more than adequately staffed and very friendly. You do still need to watch your younger kids, but I let my 10 year old walk around out of sight with a buddy. 3. The Sweet Suite. We had a 3-bedroom unit that was amazing! The master bedroom itself could have been it’s own hotel room. The other two bedrooms were huge and the living space was great. The outdoor deck was a great touch. Nice fit and finish. Anything we were missing (large stock pot for cooking noodles for example) was quickly brought up to our room. You can borrow movies and puzzles too (For when your skin cries uncle from all the swimming). 4. It is expensive. This is the one con I experienced, you do pay to play. The arcade, for example, cost me $20 a kid which lasted a little less than an hour. On the flip side, if you bring in your own food and utilize the full kitchen, it is very cost effective. Just one of the souvenir margaritas will run you $26 bucks. Tasty food available, but know it will cost ya. 5. Excellent Location. We were able to find other things to do around town with out going more than a mile or two from our resort. Centrally located if you do struggle with a bit of wanderlust while on vacation. Conclusion: We plan on going back for more. I do see a time coming when my kids outgrow it, there were not many teens around and probably for good reason. Not that older kids would not like it, but just a prophetic word. Don’t go if you’re looking for peace and quiet, there are tons of young kids/families all around. Fun, absolutely. Quiet, not so much. Definitely recommend it!
I've stayed in the Wyndham Vacation Resorts at Glacier Canyon a few times over the last 10 years. This stay in February 2019 was by far the noisiest I have ever experienced. Starting at 8am and going well past 11pm it sounded like herds of children were running down the hallways from the water park back to their rooms. We didn't file a complaint with the lobby because it didn't bother us greatly and I'm sure the children were having a fun time on vacation but if you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy a getaway or couple time, I'd move on to somewhere else. If you're looking for a family oriented facility with a nice room and plenty of activities to keep kids occupied then you've found your place.
We took our kids and grand kids here for a stay and had a great time. Everyone enjoyed the water park. There is a lot of things to do on premises. From Laser Tag to the Lazy river it was fun. I would recommend staying here if you get the chance.
Glacier Canyon Resort, connected to the Wilderness Water Parks is a great family fun destination. We have gone here several times, and have fun with the family, and friends every time we go. We will definitely be back
Large rooms, well stocked kitchen. The trouble began after we left. We had a balance of $189.35 in room charges. At 10:21am a charge for $89.35 was approved. At 10:24 an attempted charge for $189.35 was declined. At 10:27 we received a nice phone call asking to call back. At 10:29 a charge for $100 was approved. At 10:32 a charge for $9.35 was approved. At 10:32 a charge for $20.00 was approved. At 10:34 we received a threatening phone call from Jessica who stated they would call the police and accusing us of walking out without paying a bill if we did not call back to pay the remaining balance of $60. At 10:38 we noticed the messages and missed calls. Apparently 7 minutes is all it will take before being accused of stealing. When we called back and said how we don't appreciate being excised of being thieves and how unprofessional this is, especially after only 7 minutes, we were told it's "standard practice" to do this. We paid the remaining balance due of $60. After arriving home and reviewing the pending charges it was discovered this all happened because of the first charge at $89.35 at 10:21am. This charge was apparently made in error as it should have been $189.35. Rather then charge the remaining $100, they ran another the charge for the full amount of $189.35 while that $89.35 was still being held. So due to a mistake caused by the staff of Wyndham, we were accused of being thieves and walking out without paying. Hopefully this pending hold for $89.35 will drop off my credit card and not go through as a charge. If it does, we will have overpaid by $89.35.
The room was nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay even though it got noisy sometimes. However, we understood that there were a lot of excited kids. It was nice to have a kitchen, washer and dryer in the room. I was able to do a load of laundry before we left and that helped a lot. The hotel is HUGE and there is so much to do. We would definitely come back.
Let’s just say we had to clean our room when we got there 😬 amenities were amazing at the resort. We did experience our fire alarm going off in the middle of the night, and was told there was a glitch in the system. Little worrisome. Also did the Wyndham time share walk through, and was brushed off due to our age. Hey we may be younger but we can still afford your timeshare. We considered purchasing until we hit the last desk where the guy was a complete jerk. Wyndham you can do better on all ends
14F outside and we are swimming and having a great time. 3 bed room is freshly renovated and comfortable. Forgot to install towels hooks to dry bath towels. Great getaway spot for the family and our friends.
I’m right there at this moment! I googled this after I wasted 1 hour getting here for nothing. Someone wrote a compete account of the whole deal sonlook it up under tour scam. I noticed his review dates back to 2015 and that he got a reply from the management. This just proves that this is how they conduct their business and it’s really dumb. Sales can be done in an effective and honest way. This isn’t how you run a business! Lol
