Not a bad inn for $130 weeknight stay. Though perhaps our rate was lower than typical because it turns out almost nothing in town is open on Tues/Wed... Staff couldn't tell us how to walk into town or how long it would take us, just that it was a five minute drive (sad). There's an easy foot path and pedestrian bridge you can access just down the road through the Methow River Lodge & Cabins. It was maybe a ten minute walk to town, and a lovely one at that. We requested a quiet room and were placed upstairs all the way at the back, and we were pleased. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathtub had trouble draining, so we kept that short and sweet. No one to report that to next day upon checkout as you just leave your room keys in a bowl on the counter and that's that. No wifi, but our room had a dvd/vcr player, and there is an impressive selection of movies for guests to borrow. We went with a nostalgic Ewok Adventure on VHS, and let me tell you it was a solid choice. Breakfast downstairs included decent coffee, hot veggie quiche, english muffins with cream cheese, and blueberry pound cake. A nice touch, especially since there was nowhere in town open for us to get breakfast. I guess we'll have to come back to Winthrop over a weekend to experience the town at its fullest. I wouldn't mind staying at Chewuch Inn & Cabins again when I do.

Great breakfast. We didn’t get hot water in our room when we first arrived, but they checked on us and fixed it as well as provided a partial refund for the inconvenience. Deer wanders around property which was nice.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and well stocked. Westayed in the queen room with a view on floor 2 with a nice seating area. The breakfast was delicious and included homemade pastries and egg fritatas plus yougurt, bagels and waffles. The inn is older and has not been updated BUT it is clean and comfortable and offers a great breakfast! The only suggestion I have is to offer the breakfast at 7 or 7:30 instead of 8.

When I arrived, I checked the hot tub (it was the only reason I chose this property) and it had sediment or sand on the bottom, and it was about cold. I called, and someone came out stating it was fixed. I went out for dinner and returned, and it was still cold, but warmer. I called again, and the lady said she would try to do something, that was it. I woke up at 4:00 to finally find the hot tub at 104 degrees. What a disappointment. Neighbor had the same issue.

The cabins are nice but the location is not very scenic. The property is not staffed and the number given to call was often not answered. The breakfast was ok and a nice addition

The room was very nice, the property was clean and attractive, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. BUT the hot tub water was not clean (it smelled) and the grill we had counted on using did not work (no gas, obviously not maintained). We complained to the management and were promised a response, but that response did not come before the end of our stay and has not yet come as of this writing.

There was nobody in office to check me in, but I was given a phone number from house keeping to call. We worked through check in from there. The room was not really a cabin but rather, a nice studio apartment kind of thing- modern, clean and spacious. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

It still was not running good. The hosts that met us on Thursday night and we dealt with on Friday Saturday was excellent. Very friendly. Very helpful.
