We stayed here while visiting our new grandson. We spent the extra money and got the suite. What a joke! Upon entering the room the musty smell was so strong it made you sick. We spent $20 on candles and febreez spray to make it tolerable. We were there for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned the entire time. Right outside our door was the dumpsters so the smell when you walked outside the room took your breath away. The free breakfast didn't offer much and there was gnats inside the bread holder and if you wanted coffee you better get it before 9 because even though it says breakfast till 10 they will not make more coffee. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
This place was somewhat comfortable. The door to the toilet/shower interfered with the sink and light switch. A bit over priced. The restaurant next door had great food. Ask for the hot sauce if you want a spicier salsa. Breakfast was poor in offerings.
Arrived late at night. Customer service was commensurate with the quality of the hotel - nothing offensive or sub-par, just ok. I was really worried that the room would disappoint but it was actually the best I could have expected for $85/night. It was clean and comfortable and I slept well. Again, not much more you can ask for at that rate and for that class of hotel.
I would never in this life or another refer this sorry hotel to anyone. The night clerk was beyond rude, very unprofessional talking to people with a very nasty attitude. Had to cancel reservations and asked for some can of recite or something in writing to show that my room was cancel and that the charge was taken off my card, well did not get it and found out the money was taken out the day before we got there. Something is wrong with that. I can go on and on
We left our 2 rooms at 9 in the morning and put the maid service sign on both rooms. when we returned at 11 at night both signs were still out and nethier one of our rooms were touched, so I walked to the front office and asked the night shift if they service the rooms everyday she said yes and I explained that neither one of my rooms had been cleaned and we had no clean towels/coffee or even toliet paper in one room. She very rudely told me that the maids are only here for a couple hours and it was our fault for having signs on our door even though it was requesting to be cleaned. I told her i didnt understand why she was being rude she told me that she wasn't and that she is just the night shift not the maid and that she has to go around the corner to get the coffee I told her that I understood and I apprieciate it. When she handed me the coffee and toliet paper i asked her what her name was she responded with i work the night shift. I said i see that and your name is?......She was again hesitant but replied Mary Beth. I have family here in winnsboro and have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past, its sad but this will be the last time i stay here, i feel embaresed because my parents had to endure this as they where staying in the other room and we spoke highly of this establishment...boy were we wrong.
The room was very stuffy accompanied with a stuffy stench. I knew to bring an odor neutralizing spray and cleaning wipes. The shower curtain touched me while showering and I could've died. The hotel is just not as clean as it should be. I only stay there because my mom's family is from there. There aren't any decent hotels in the area, quite honestly.
Had late arrival, hotel clerk was not very friendly, and upon entry to room it stunk of mold and mildew with cleaning agent cover up. There was only one towel in room, when requested more towels had to drive to the lobby to retrieve more towels. The bed spread was dirty. It was late and we were tired, didn't think to request a new room until the next morning. Reported the stinky room at check out and the disk clerk did not seem concerned.
I reserved a room with two full-size beds since three of us would be sharing the room. The room they gave us had one king size bed. Apparently, that morning the guest in the room I reserved extended their stay and the staff felt it was appropriate to change my reservation without giving me any notification. To make things right, the owner offered me a queen size room at $10 off. So basically, the only way to get the two beds we needed would be to spend more money, because of their mistake. The actual room was okay, it was clean. It got very warm even with the fan on and the AC on full blast.
We stay here every time we preach in Gilbert for Bishop Harris. This place is first class. It's an older property but it's clean and well kept. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. I can't speak for breakfast because I normally sleep in. I'd recommend this place too anyone.
Dumpster stench, it was 20 ft from room door. Room swarming with flies. Shower head will not move and sprays in your face. No ice in machine. Reserved room several days in advance and was told they gave my room away and I was out of luck. Will never stay at this place again. Would recommend all to make the drive to next hotel.
