One of the perks of this place is that it's in a quiet area. It's not hard to get to the highway but overall, it feels very remote. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the AC in my room worked very well. Everyone that I encountered that worked there were very nice and I liked having a parking space right outside the room. Also, I didn’t hear a peep out of my neighbors even though the room on either side of me had occupants. On the flip side, the bathroom left something to be desired as both the toilet's ability to flush fully and the water pressure in the shower were questionable. But really the only "complaint" I have is the pervasive smell of smoke. Even though my room was non smoking the whole room would stink every time somone was smoking outside. They might as well have been sitting right next to me doing it for as strong as the smell was. But it's a really inexpensive place so I tried to keep my expectations reasonable. Overall, I was happy with my stay and in so long as I was only there for one night, I would stay again.

The staff was very friendly and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. My only real issue was that the room smelt like smoke. They said it's a smoke free room but the smell was awful. People would step right outside their room to smoke and it would linger into everyone else's room as well. Maybe set up a designated smoking area and enforce it.

I travel solo to go antiquing and when looking to book an overnight everything was very expensive due to the time of year. I had known of the Ashford Motel for years simply from passing their sign on I-84! I really needed to save money paying for accommodations so I booked at the Ashford Motel because it is one of the least expensive motels in the area. The property is older but the young woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful! I stayed in a double room right near the office. I like that you can park in front of your room. The room was fine for a one night stay. It had what I needed. I wanted to relax and not have to drive home after a day of antiquing and I was able to do so! The shower was decent and the bed not bad. I brought snacks and drinks with me and ordered dinner delivered to my room door. I slept well. Overall for the price it was good! It’s right off 84 so the location is convenient.

Our stay here was terrible. The room didn’t look or feel like it had been thoroughly cleaned. The sink was disgusting with stains and black mildew. We chose a non-smoking room, but the room still had an odor. Also, the bedding had cigarette burns in them. It doesn’t appear that they launder their linens separately, which isn’t good for guests who are sensitive to smoke. The walls were paper thin, and we could hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms. We had to call the front desk to ask if they could have the other guests turn their TV down, as it was late at night and we were trying to go to sleep. This took two requests before it was fulfilled. Figuring out the thermostat was a nightmare as well, which made for a very cold and miserable night. Overall, the room was very uncomfortable and I wouldn’t stay here again.

I noticed several poor reviews on this hotel before reserving my room, so I was nervous about it. I'm so glad I ignored those reviews because this place was great! It was clean and quiet, and it is located off the beaten path. The staff was very friendly, and I didn't encounter any problems whatsoever. I would definitely stay here again.

After getting a THIRD room, the inside of the room was visibly decent. First room (#7) - strong smell of smoke. I requested a non-smoking room. We were quickly switched to a different room. Second room (#5) - one of the beds had a mattress spring sticking out over 2 inches on the edge of the mattress on the side that was between the 2 beds. Yes, I got cut on it. The female attendant gave me a hard time when I requested another room stating they were full. I insisted she come to my room and do something with the mattress since I felt it UNSAFE to sleep on it with the spring protruding out. SHE did. She tried to push the spring in with her hands. No luck. I again repeated that this mattress was dangerous to sleep on and again told her to switch my room. I also mentioned to her in the room, that there was somebody else's food in the fridge as well as some of their clothes found in the corner of the room between the bed and AC unit. She finally agreed to switch me to another room (#19) Upon returning for the second night, the room was not cleaned. We also did not get any towels. I had to ask for towels. *Make a better choice. Spend a little more money. Your health and safety is worth it.
