Great location and great cabin

Enjoyed our stay at Explorer Cabins, but premium for the double queen cabin over standard hotel room across the road wasn't worth it. Walls between double units are extremely thin - you can hear everything. I would only stay in the single cabins with multiple bedrooms - smaller units aren't worth it. No regrets, but next time I'll stay at regular hotel room for half the price.

Staying at the cabins was amazing! There are a lot of amenities to enjoy such as an indoor pool, fire pits, bikes for in town use, games and activities. They offer free ice cream, s’mores kits, continental breakfast, and non alcoholic drinks. The inside of the cabins was clean and well equipped. The bathrooms were supplied with Bath and Body Works Stress Relief scented lotion, shampoo and conditioner, which I thought was a great touch! The pool area was great and loved that there was a jacuzzi. The cabins were only about a minute away from the West Entrance of Yellowstone and that was a huge plus!

Nice large bathroom/shower. Roomy kitchen/bedroom area. Samore ingredients and ice cream offered free daily. Cabin guests were allowed to used hotel pool.

Perfect location during COVID - our own space away with everything you need for a stay.

Everything was perfect. Clean, quiet, and the cabin had everything we needed.

These cabins are amazing, we only wish we had spent more time there! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the apartments (we had a 2 bedroom) are clean, functional and private. The courtyard was gorgeous and we were fortunate enough to enjoy the communal fire area. Absolutely beautiful and we will be back for an extended stay.

The cabins are gorgeous, but I recommend against booking through a third party site. There were several communications about checking in, COVID-19 amenity disruptions, etc. that were never passed along. Our cabin had no coffee or cups/glasses, and the s’mores kit and fire setup isn’t actually a thing right now.

I am super disappointed of this place that I was so exited to visit! I had call them 2 to 3 weeks before my arrival to be sure they were open and they confirmed to me they were open and everything was looking good for my visit! 1. We couldn’t find a place call “Explorer Cabins” 2. After we got convinced that The Gray Wolfe Hotel was the same address than the Cabins we found out that hotel was closed! So we needed to drive to the Holiday Inn to check in to our cabin. 3. The pool and hot tub that i was told were open, were closed due to Covid-19! 4. There were dishes enough for only 3 people when we were 5! That’s what our reservation was for, not for 3!!! We needed to take turns eating so everyone can have a real plate and silverware to used! 5. The fan in the bathroom was hook to the light so every time someone used the bathroom even in the middle of the night it was super noisy! The fan come up every single time someone turned the light on... 6. I should have received an email or text from Explorer Cabins or Orbitz to let me know we were going to find some changes to our reservation! But no one send a thing !

Overall the cabin was very good. Having a second chair and a kitchen table would have helped. Great time during our stay! We’d stay there again. Thanks.

The room is very cozy and I like the s’more barbecue set and get warm by the pit fire. Will definitely recommend it to my friends.

The cabins are well appointed on the inside with nice touches like yoga mat, binoculars, flashlight, books on Yellowstone. I also appreciated the bath and body products in the bathroom. They also provide s’mores kits for use at the fire pits. The cabins are located in town and it is an easy walk to stores and restaurants. We only stayed a night, but wish we would could have stayed much longer.

Check-in was bumpy, but the owner stepped in and took care of everything to our satisfaction. The cabins are well-appointed and the cabins are just a short walk to area restaurants. Overall we had a very good stay and would stay here again.

The room and property were kept clean and the office staff was very nice. The cabins are in a perfect spot adjacent to the west entrance and within easy walking distance to downtown. We highly recommend the property!

We stayed at the Explorer Cabins for the Yellowstone Half Marathon weekend. It was a perfect location, and it was so nice to have all the space, including a mini kitchen that was well stocked! We had a two bedroom cabin with a Queen and King bedroom. The cabin had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with filters and coffee provided, toaster, small stovetop, gas logs, two TVs with cable, walking sticks, binoculars, flash light.....to say it was well equipped is an understatement! Also, next to the bed was a charging station which was greatly appreciated!!! In the common area was a firepit to make s'mores or just to enjoy in the evenings. The cabins were quiet in the evening....there was some nearby construction during the day that was noisy, but honestly most people are in the park in the day, not in their cabin. Many restaurants are walking distance, and the Grizzly Bear Center is across the street. I would definitely recommend the cabins and would stay here again myself!

This place was amazing! The staff was over-the-top great in working with us. The cabin that we stayed in (#15) was great as well. It was so much better than staying in a hotel room. You didn't have to worry about noisy neighbors or kids running down the hallway because you were in your own little slice of heaven. The cabin had two bedrooms, one bathroom and a gas fireplace with a mini-kitchen as well. They even supplied you with a pair of binoculars, two walking sticks, a flashlight and the ingredients to make smores outside at their fire pits. Just an amazing place!!!

The one I stayed is a one-bedroom cabin, with a kitchen and living room. It is much more comfortable than staying in the standard hotel rooms, especially for people who have special needs for food, like vegetarian or Asian food.
