We stayed in the cheaper rooms which were more than adequate for us , bed was very comfortable, shower was good , reception staff and staff in dining room were very helpful and friendly ,, they could work on cleaning a bit better , wasn't really happy with the bathroom and shower , did bring it to the attention of staff so hopefully it was dealt with , would stay again
The Ibis Styles is one of the oldest and biggest motels in Tamworth. It has aged well with good maintenance and cleanliness. Staff were very polite and helpful. Small complaint about lighting -only one tiny bedside lamp for a room for 3 people, no small table under end overhead light which was working - the centre overhead light over wall bench was not working so night paperwork/reading was impossible. Beds good and very little noise from other guests or traffic. The position of the soap dispensers were a problem for people with arthritic hands (and children to reach).
This Ibis is about a 7 minute walk from the town centre and most rooms overlook greenery at the rear. Although the hotel fronts a very busy thoroughfare I found it to be reasonably quiet, from my room at least. The pool is small and uninviting and it borders the busy street where there is quite a lot of traffic noise. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Would not recommend the restaurant which has no real dress standards but the food is just OK and not expensive. Not a place for a romantic evening out.
After a few challenges with my booking the management and staff were brilliant in the way they helped me solve the problem. This was true customer service. Rooms were clean and tidy, it was quiet and food was good.
Staff friendly and interact well with guests. We always feel welcome when we stay at Ibis Style Tamworth. Rooms are nice and easily accessible with parking at the door to the room in most cases. Food in the Restaurant is great. Rooms have been recently renovated. Slight mix up with the online booking but was easily sorted by check in staff.
I came to Tamworth for work and need to stay in this hotel for 2 weeks. At the start, my room wasn't clean at all especially in the shower area. With staff in the evening shift (Receptionist), I honestly have to said if Ibis with Accor brand, they need to train staff to improve manner. However, eventually housekeeping use strong chemical to clean it. After a week I stayed, one night I open my bed and found bugs bed!!!. Again, the receptionist (night shift) almost helpful. At 1 am that I found bugs bed, i have to called receptionist to help me solve this problem. She gave me 2 choices either she would change sheet for my bed or she will let me sleep another room 1 NIGHT and the next day i have to move back to my previous room. Then I ask it is possible to stay in the new room the the rest of the week till I check out and she said that my room type is cheaper than what she have. If I want to change the room I have to paid extra 30$ per night!!! till I check out. It wasn't my fault or I want bugs bed, to ask to change the room. if you really found bugs bed, you do still keep staying in the room ? staff at Ibis with problem solving skills are really bad. However, in the morning I came back to talk with the receptionist (Morning shift) I ask her, if i could stay in the new room till I check out. She really nice and said that fine and i was going to ask if you ok to stay in new room. By the way, the photo that shown on their website is the photos that they renovate the room already!!!, but still have several room not yet renovate. If you want to stay in this Hotel, make sure that you asked if you will get the new room!!
Do not attend the restaurant here. You will do better with a delivered pizza. We waited 65 minutes after ordering, to receive the "crispy pork belly", which was 2 pieces of cold soggy pieces of inedible, and tough pork served with underwhelming coleslaw, yes.... that's all for $29. I didn't eat it. Instead I had 2 breakfast biscuits in our room. I refused to pay for it! My partner ordered the lamb special. It was $28 for 2 thin slivers of lamb on sweet potato mash. That was it...... Granted, they only charged us for our wine, after complaining how all the tables around us were served before, who ordered after us. We travel regularly to this city, but after this latest fiasco, there are numerous more hotels to choose. We will not be returning!!! You've lost us forever. The room we have is decent, I should add. The restaurant is definitely forgettable.
We stayed two nights in a renovated queen room (room 155) which was at the opposite end of the two story hotel's reception and restaurant. The room was comfortable enough and kept clean and had that new feeling about it. Car parking at the front door just like a motel. Wifi did not work once in the two days we were there. Our rate included breakfast which turned out to be just continental which was a surprise as most of our Accor hotel stays included full buffet breakfast - this came at an additional $11 per person per day so we did not bother and made do with the continental. Very busy hotel with lots of business customers.
We phoned ahead before booking through Accor website to ensure we would be given a quiet room upstairs and we were assured that was no problem. of course when we arrived it was, so to cut a long story short, after a couple of disagreements we secured a simple but quiet room. In saying that it appears they are all simple but adequate rooms, the staff were fine and location good, but the hotel has seen better days and the upkeep may have been let go. from the street it appears to be past its use by date. All in all, the stay was fine, but the wi-fi also wasn't working either.
stayed over on way home from dubbo to gold coast, unit was comfortable, clean and spacious, breakfast and dinner was excellent, staff friendly and good location. found this well priced compared to some other motels.
