Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Hotel is in a nice neighborhood with a few good restaurants and a grocery store and is an easy walk to the shore and King Street. Staff is friendly and helpful on phone and in person. Pleasant, calm new decor, very clean. Our standard suite had a good layout. Good for two people to share a hotel space but have privacy.

I've stayed here frequently over the past twenty years. It's gone downhill and that trend accelerates. The bar/restaurant limp along and it seems management want to close it because it's badly run and maintained, understaffed and often out of essentials like eggs. We were needlessly turned out of our rooms at 0400 by a fire in an adjacent building. No explanation or apology was offered and the night manager seemed indifferent to the issue. If a real emergency occurs many would not hear the alarm nor be able to follow the directions provided by the hotel PA system.

Sheraton Old Town in Alexandria is the perfect stop when visiting the area. Clean, Awesome staff, great breakfast, easy access to interstate and short walking distance to all shop and attractions!

Great location, amazing staff. Wanted to thank personally to receptionist Victor, very attentive and helpful.

It is a great place to stay and a very good value for the Alexandria area.

No room to move around after opening sofa bed. Couldn't access the balcony door without bumping into something. Not a functional room. Bathroom toilet room has no door. I want a portion of my money back.

Moved our son into his new apartment, several blocks from this hotel. Used the shuttle to central Old Town; parking on street was also available. Nice room, good breakfast buffet Sunday and excellent shower! Will stay here again when we visit.

Nice, clean, I think parking should be included, plenty of places to eat around, I think they need to upgrade the sofa bed...

Stayed twice on a holiday trip (going & coming), comfy beds, pet friendly walking park on the river only two blocks away, hotel restaurant a little pricey

Excellent room, wonderful staff, club level snacks &bkfst perfect. Wish we had magnified mirror in bathroom

Hotel is in a good location near King Street and Metro. Balcony had a view of the office building next door and not much else though. Staff was accommodating and was able to place another of our rooms next to ours on short notice. Rooms were clean for the most part, but they could use a more detailed cleaning. Misc places like vents, sprinkler and such appear to not have been dusted in weeks/months. Overall I would stay here again.

My flight home from DCA was cancelled and a 10-minute taxi ride brought me to the this very nice hotel - at which I will likely stay for future trips to the DC area.

Booked during the Cherry Blossom Festival-price was great. Bonus is that on street parking is free on qweekends. Easy access to Old Town and the waterfront.

Very nice room, very comfortable and the view was amazing! The only thing that bothered me a little was the elevator (doors took for ever to open). Other than that,..I Had A blast!

Great stay at the Sheraton Suites. Room was clean and comfortable. Sarah and Kelvin at the front desk were friendly and nice. We enjoyed our mini anniversary getaway. We would stay here again.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the location was fantastic!

Great getaway for my wife and I. Close enough to Washington D.C. but far enough to enjoy the peace of Virginina. Great staff and a beautiful Hotel. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Fantastic...

Awesome. The room was cleaned. Location is perfect. A lot of restaurants near the hotel. Staff was friendly.

Room was very comfortable and clean for the price. Location was nice near transportation. We had a great time.

This hotel is next to a Harris Teeter... Which was great because my son has food allergies and we like to have snacks on hand. So nice to have a microwave and cooler in the suite! We had a rental car, and parking was convenient and we were close to everything. Beautiful old town... we had a few great meals nearby. Best of all, the hotel shuttles to the airport Metro every half hour... So easy! We would definitely stay here again.
