My husband and I didn't get any kind of greeting from the receptionist or any instructions due to any changes because of COVID. The receptionist seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with questions or volunteer any information . I wish Hampton Inn could hire people who are hospitable, especially since we drove a long distance and we were tired.
Our stay was disappointing. Upon arriving at the hotel our phone indicated that we had messages and was flashing red. When I contacted the desk to fix it before sleeping (since it was flashing brightly) they told me they couldn’t until the next day. No one ever came even after inquiring again the next day, we solved it by unplugging the phone. Our room was not clean. It was clean room service had been in the room but there were wrappers left on the floor and couch from whoever stayed in the room prior to us. We even found a dead cockroach on the coach. Then we went to enjoy the hot tub to find out it wasn’t working at all. No sign or information just a “nope doesn’t work” from the front desk. We returned to the pool to use the heater indoor pool. The pool area and pool towels were dirty. The dirty towel bin was over flowing onto the ground. After a few minutes my daughter noticed cockroaches on the wall and ceiling. Needless to say I’ve never felt so dirty staying somewhere. We tried to resolve this with the hotel staff by checking out and finding a few hotel but we were told no one was available to approve it. I then contacted orbitz (on our first day there). I was told I’d have resolution in 24 hours or less. Still nothing. The HAMPTON Inn kept telling them no manager was available to speak to (same answer I got). They finally responded AFTER I checked out days later to say they didn’t approve me request. Bad hotel, bad service, very disappointing.
The property location was ideal to all of our activities in Waco.
We chose the hotel because it was supposed to have a hot jetted tub. The heater was not working on the jetted tub in the pool area, the doors would not open from the outside of the bldg w/ the keys, the pool door would not open w/ the key. The staff would not give us a receipt. The hotel would not compensate us for any of these issues because they said we booked w/ Orbitz & not them directly
We had our reservation cancelled by the hotel and still charged for the stay. Have not received a refund at all. Never stayed in the hotel.
Room did not have but one hand towel , no wash clothes, and many hangers not belonging to hotel in closet and bathroom
Clean and good customer service. Our room was a spacious king size bed with a sleeper sofa. The room and bathroom are very clean. Staff is very friendly.
Very nice and clean room. Baseboard falling off at corner caught my toe. Luckily had shoes on. Bed comfortable and bathroom clean. Trash can overflowing right outside lobby by 4pm so trash was on floor in between front doors. Not a good first impression. Excellent breakfast as always. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Pretty good hotel, a bit pricey but we enjoyed our stay. Complementary breakfast was very tasty. Having an indoor pool was great for cooler weather, but they did not have towels available in the pool area.
Not enough towels in room. Ran out of toilet paper and Kleenex. Bathroom floor was not swept before we came. Pool did not work.
Hotel smelled of sewer gas, especially second floor. Breakfast selection was subpar compared to most Hampton Inns.
This hotel needs renovation and appears to be in the process of doing so. Unfortunately, my room wasn't one of the renovated rooms. It seemed clean, but very worn and scuffed. Renovation noises- power tool noises and beeping were happening until 6:00 PM, which made a rest before an evening event impossible. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are going to stay at this hotel, ask to stay on the side of the hotel opposite of the renovation work.
I usually stay here and get the wirpool room to relax. But, this time the wirpool did not work properly. I have never had a bad expierence with this hotel until now. I paid for a wirpool room and never got to enjoy the wirpool:(
