This is a huge property with excellent water views, and a spectacular oceanside pool. That said, the place is a little worn around the edges. Cigarette burns on the telephone console, dated furnishings. While the breakfast buffet is lovely, during our stay there was a 30-minute wait for a table. Our A/C was malfunctioning and despite 4 requests, that was never resolved. In all, this is probably one of the best bets in Vina given the luxurious oceanside location.
Tthe Restaurant Travesía has one of the most professional hosts I have come across by the name of Ms Piera Zolezzi. Her sincere willingness to please and enthusiasm made it quite evident that she found her true vocation in the hospitality world. The food was good but our inclination to return was embellished by her cheerful greenings and sharp eye for service. Kudos to Sheraton for finding her!
I am a Canadian with Chilean family in the Vina area. Anytime I visit them, my first stop is the Sheraton Miramar to purchase a membership for the duration of my stay to their spa facility, get a meal on the beautiful patio and book a brunch on Sunday! This hotel is 5 star plus with incredible service, staff, views and restaurant!!! You wil not go wrong with a visit to this location in the Sheraton chain. So far I have eaten there twice on the patio overlooking the ocean and had an amazing experience with my Chilean family members when we went for cocktails and dessert one night following dinner in town. Sitting on the patio, we were served by a world class bartender David Aravena....he was professional, knowledgeable of the menu, very friendly, and just provided my family with the little extra touches that make a customer feel appreciated. We were enjoying drinks into the evening and with a chill in the air, David brought us blankets to stay warm and cozy and also stayed very attentive of our party. He is a true gem of a server and an asset to the company! Can not say enough great things about him. If you visit, go to the bar and ask for David...you won’t be disappointed! I still have 10 days remaining on this most recent stay in this beautiful country and it will include many more visits to the Sheraton Miramar!!!! I have never stayed here, only day visits but did tour the rooms and they are also really fantastic! Thank you Sheraton Miramar for all the great memories!
Great hotel , clean, beautiful views , friendly helpful staff, hotel car availablej, food good, included breakfast and servers fantastic ! Centrally located close to valparaiso , sits right on the water
I had heard some time ago about this hotel and when I visited Viña del Mar I did not miss the opportunity to stay here. The hotel is located in a peñazco so it has no boundaries, you are surrounded by rocks and sea. On foot you have the city and if you go a little further you will kindly ask for a taxi in the Lobby. The rooms are quite large, a good bathroom and plenty of storage. The quality of the Sheraton hotels you will find it at its maximum splendor in this property that will undoubtedly take away sighs. In the afternoon it is very nice to watch the sunset on the terrace and taste some cocktail or Pisco Sour the traditional drink of the region. the service and attention of the staff is very friendly and cordial, we had a great stay
This is a nice hotel with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. The room was spacious and clean and included a small, private patio. The beds were nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially Francisco at the concierge desk, whose english was excellent. The hotel has two fine dining restaurants, but my wife & I did not eat at either. We did eat at the patio restaurant off the lobby and found it to be very good. We also enjoyed room service for breakfast everyday and for two dinners and found the service and food to very good. The hotel does not have a private beach but there is a public beach right next to the hotel. We did use the public beach one afternoon but did not go in the water because of all the jelly fish washing up on the shore.
Very happy with our stay here. The rooms are nice, restaurants very good, service efficient and bilingual, and excellent workout facility and spa are all within the facility. Rooms overlook the ocean and if you unfortunately dropped your camera from the balcony it would fall into the ocean. Great views with underground protected parking or convenient UBER service. Nice walkways along the ocean to beaches, restaurants or areas of interest all within 1-2 miles.
The Sheraton Miramar is a gorgeous hotel perched right by the ocean. Our SPG club level, spacious, corner room gave us an amazing panoramic view of the ocean, and the city all along the coast. Everything in our room was neat, clean and fresh smelling. Our bed had quality linens and excellent amenities in the bathroom. Our balcony was very generous in size. All of the staff was unfailingly polite. The pools and loungers were wonderful. The fitness room was very large with an aerobics/ yoga room, a spinner room and an extremely well equipped weight room. Our main negative concern was the lack of a specific person to handle the job of the concierge. This job seemed to be juggled between several young men whose job it was also to handle the valet and bellman jobs. We were very disappointed when we gave them a list of restaurant reservations that we asked them to make for us , which they later confirmed with us. However, when we went to two of the restaurants it turned out that the reservations had not been made at all. There were several people at the Sheraton Miramar who we thought were really wonderful employees and are deserving of recognition. First there was Samuel in the dining room. A napkin had fallen on the floor near our table. It stayed there for a long time while numerous dining room staff walked over it and around it. Samuel was the first to pick it up. Also when we asked for Tabasco sauce he not only found it for us but also made sure that it was available for us every day thereafter. Then there was Cynthia who remembered my husband’s omelette’s with its specific ingredients and my poached eggs from one day to the next. We were also impressed with Anna Carla , who was very friendly and made every effort to communicate with us in a variety of languages. Finally Felipe at the Front desk was very welcoming and highly professional. We highly recommend the Sheraton Miramar. It was the key to our very pleasant stay in Viña del Mar.
Spent here 4 nights. Location is absolutely the best. All rooms face the ocean which is right under your balcony. Needless to say the view is gorgeous. All balconies have sun chairs. Rooms are rather big and cleaned, comfortable bed, bathroom is also rather spacious. There is a big open pool right at the ocean with breathtaking view. Even the gym has a view over the ocean! The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. There is a concierge service where you can book tours around the area and a transfers ( including transfers to the airport for 123 usd, 1,5 hours drive). Breakfast is very good. Big selection of breads. I'm sure everybody can find something to his taste. Once we also had dinner there. Was good but pricy. In the city, on avenida Peru, you will find bigger options and cheaper places. The only shortcoming is the service, which was friendly but very disorganised. One waiter takes your order, then disappears, the new one does not know what you consumed and you get a wrong bill, sometimes very wrong. It's just one example. Apart from this the hotel is good and we enjoyed our stay.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip. The location is amazing, the restaurant is nice, but the employees are the reason I gave this place 5 stars. While here I fell and broke my foot, I speak no Spanish, and was far away from home. Lilliana at the front desk was fabulous helping us find and schedule a doctor to come to our room and look at my foot, Francisco the bell boy who came up to the room to translate was calming and really helped me understand the doctor’s orders, and finally Richard, the waiter who helped delivered lunch to our room when I couldn’t put any weight on my foot were all wonderful! They certainly went above and beyond their normal job descriptions! I can not thank them enough!
