The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful but felt like it was just an average experience. Nothing special nothing negative just a nights sleep. It was pretty cheap for the center of town and it was clean. But overall it was an average experience!
The hotel was perfectly located - half way between the bus station and the cathedral - right in the old town! I walked everywhere - lots of restaurants, supermarkets and cafes nearby too. The hotel staff were lovely - they gave advice on day trips and arranged a late checkout to accommodate my flight schedule. Breakfast in the conservatory on the square was relaxed and peaceful - great for watching the world go by! The spa area is lovely - I enjoyed the sauna and steam room every evening. The building itself is very pretty and although it may not have the contemporary "boutique" feel that is sometimes sought after these days, the Royal Astorija has a timeless charm and dignity that will make you glad you decided to stay here! I loved it!
i checked in at this hotel on 27th Feb and stayed for 2 nights. Buffet breakfast is very good and hotel room is specious with mini bar, coffee maker. Toilet is also spacious . Big windows for the room. Staff arranged a taxi for airport early morning on 1st March, everything was great !!
I can't say enough good things about this hotel! I arrived in Vilnius by bus and made the 15-minute walk from the station to the Radisson Blu. I saw that there was a lot of activity in the square as I approached the hotel. When I walked in, I was greeted by Agne, who not only checked me in, but she also offered information about things to do and see in Vilnius. She also told me that I had chosen the perfect weekend for my first visit to Vilnius, because an arts and crafts fair was taking place all over the city to celebrate St. Casimir's birthday. She told me that I was in room 339, which had a view of the square. The room was in a connecting building, and I am glad that someone took me to my room. Getting there involved taking a lift to the 2nd level, walking to the connecting building, and taking another lift to the 3rd level. I know it sounds like an ordeal, but it actually added to the experience of the stay. Room 339 was a large room with the exterior wall banked with windows. The bed was comfortable, and there was also a desk with chair as well as another arm chair. The bathroom was large enough to move around without feeling claustrophobic. I'm a light sleeper, but I did not notice any noise from surrounding rooms, and the noise from outside was minimal. (The fair activities ended early each evening I was there, so noise from it was never an issue in the evening.) The wifi was good; it wasn't breathtakingly fast, but it was steady and reliable. The breakfast was quite extensive, with a variety of cold and hot dishes. There was something there for any appetite or taste. The restaurant where it was served offered views of the square, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. I saw Agne quite a few times as I entered and left the hotel, and she would always ask me what I had done and seen, what foods I had tried, etc. She is an incredible representative for this hotel and the Club Carlson brand. She even helped me arrange a taxi to the airport for my flight back to Helsinki. All in all, I had a great stay at the Radisson Blu Royal Astorija, and I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone visiting Vilnius, especially first-time visitors!
This was the first time visiting Vilnius, the last of the three Baltic capitals for us and I have to say, the best! Arrived late on a very wet miserable evening but was warmly welcomed by the reception team, especially Dovile who I have to say was the perfect host throughout our stay, helpful courteous and professional as were all her team. Had a lovely room on the forth floor, as it was a very special trip for us they had laid on a special welcome gift and an upgrade, it was very much appreciated! Breakfast was the standard buffet but with an excellent mix of hot and cold food, fresh coffee served in the front glass fronted restaurant, lovely start to the day. Location wise it's perfect, right in the middle of the old town where to be honest any tourist will spend most of their time. Walking is easy and our visit coincided with a beginning of spring festival which was an unexpected bonus. There is a spa in the basement which has a small pool, sauna and steam room as well as a selection of gym equipment to keep fit all cleans and well kept. Had dinner the first night, very good food and wine well priced too. Only point to change would be the lighting, use a dimmer switch and more candles and make it more appealing from the outside! On the whole a fantastic hotel worthy of its five stars, we will definitely be returning. Thanks to Dovile and her team, the best in Vilnius!
Stayed with friends for the weekend, but had an early flight on tuesday morning. booked into Radisson in city center. Staff had excellent english and were very helpful. We were leaving too early for breakfast, but a pre prepared one was offered. Excellent location to do a walking tour of the old city.
I was staying in one of the cheapest room, a single, and still it was absolutely charming, decorated in style, enough space and a wide, very comfortable bed. The room was spotless clean, nice towels and toiletries. When I asked for a robe and slippers, they were brought to my room within minutes. I got a flu and the staff was so kind and caring, bringing tea with lemon and honey to me! On the day on my leaving, I was given late check-out to be able to stay in bed and the hotel driver that took me to the airport helped me at the pharmacy.
Shot stay in Old Town Vilnius in a wonderful Old Hotel that dates back to 1901 that has been updated to reflect modern needs but still keeping all the Wonderful antiquated fixtures and fittings. Very helpful staff with a nothing to much trouble attitude so rare these days. Lovely Restaurant with a great choice of freshly cooked food local delecatcies as well as an exstensive European menu to suit everyone with probably one of the best views out over Old Town Square so pretty when the sun shines but just as lovely in winter. Would not hesitate to recommend to my many business colleagues for a short break or even a family break.
Business and vacation hotel. Staff very friendly and provided excellent service from the start. Rooms are spacious and clean. Excellent location in the city center and only about 15 minutes from the airport. Has a restaurant and a bar with a good view to the front street.
Just a one night stay. Near the Old Town and plenty of restaurants nearby...also spotted a supermarket opposite. Olde worlde feel...charming reception area all decked out for Christmas. Bar is at front of hotel giving a bird'e eye view of the life outside. Ate in the French style brasserie. Great black pudding! Dark beer good. Lovely breakfast with everything from fruits to bacon and eggs. Even Virgin Mary's ready to go. Rooms are nice but a tad "heavy" looking for me (big dark furniture). Bathroom floor was heated... nice touch.
