Had a great mini vacation for a few days. Gome had everything we needed and loved kayaking the canal and bay. The fall colors where breathtaking. Really enjoyed having a hot tub to watch the stars in at night.

This is a great place for a family getaway. The location is perfectly center to alot of attractions and the kayaking is a great way to spend the day. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need and the coziness of the home made it great for game nights.

It’s a really nice place and it grows on you. There’s really nice plates and cookware to cook dinners it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere but you’re close to all the activities you need to do it’s a great place to just chill out we all used the gym which was super cool And we all slept very well in the comfortable beds Our dogs enjoyed it as well!

Graduation celebration

The property has a lovely relaxing interior. New kitchen appliances. Everything needed for cooking and serving great meals. Some great quality cooking supplies, coffee, tea, sweeteners. Very nice living room and dining area. Large smart tv! The most comfortable beds with new linens. Plenty of towels. No hair dryer. Kayaks available though no safe launch. Would have to take kayaks to another spot to launch. Thus, we did not use them. Small clean hot tub. Very slow heating up. Plenty of parking. Tricky location to find; but fairly close to everything needed. Unfortunately after a wonderful dinner out, my daughter’s minivan got a flat tire after 10pm. No regular spare. Easy to find tow truck. Impossible to find Lyft or Uber. After more than a dozen calls, my son connected with AM/PM 24-7 Taxi Service that got us back to VBRO after 1:30 am. Early checkout and left exhausted but satisfied.

My kids now think this is our other home because they had so much fun!

It was amazing. The host was great and took care of anything we asked. Very responsive and easy to work with. My family and I had such a great time that they now think it is our second home to go back and have fun. We live close and will def be coming back again as we had an amazing time. :)

Terrific little gem

We live in Cleveland and were looking for someplace central to the Sandusky/Marblehead area to host family from out of state in early June. This house was perfect. The open floor plan on the first floor, with its large comfy sofa and dining area, allowed for everyone to be in the same space, including those stuck with meal prep and clean up. However, there is also lots of space upstairs, outside in three separate seating areas, and even in the basement play area, that everyone has a place to be without feeling crowded. Our group was two sisters, their husbands, and three boys aged 10 to 17. The kids claimed the upstairs which was a little warm at first, but the air conditioner did its job. Both downstairs bedrooms are comfortable and equally outfitted so there was no resentment over who got the better room. The place is well outfitted and very clean. The owner has things nicely labeled and organized. Only disappointment was lack of a hairdryer but that was quickly forgotten. Outside amenities are as advertised. Including the insects.

Cozy Bungalow

Feels like home away from home! Immaculately clean, spacious, and well appointed with all the essentials and lots of extras. This was our family’s 4th stay and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Great Getaway with the Girls!

This was the perfect house for a weekend get away with the girls. It is conveniently located near all the attractions. There is a cute canal in the back and the porch makes a perfect spot for coffee. Great stay!

Perfect!

A wonderful bungalow with many updated features. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out. The insect control kept the stay comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics for making light meals. The additional half bath was an unexpected bonus that made the stay even better with no one having to wait their turn when someone was showering. The hot tub is on smaller side so only holds 3-4 adults comfortably, but with plenty of outdoor seats everyone can enjoy the back patio comfortably together. The property is centrally located between Sandusky and Port Clinton, so there are lots of options for eating and sigtseeing. We especially enjoyed eating at the Farm Stand at The Ørchard on Catawba Island and visiting the Lighthouse in Marblehead.

Fantastic Property for a Large Family!

If you’re looking for a wonderfully clean, updated, we’ll-appointed property in the Whites Landing/Sandusky Bay Area that is central to everything, this is the perfect place! This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here & we’ll definitely be back! We had an issue (this trip only) reaching the host & obtaining the code for check-in on the day of arrival, which required us to stay elsewhere the first night and was not ideal; however, the owner was profusely apologetic for the inconvenience & made it right by immediately issuing a refund for that night. My star ratings for check-in & communication reflect this, but I’m sure it was an isolated issue. When we arrived, the home was immaculately clean and we were excited to see the new upgrades (hot tub, gym, kayaks, & desk with computer) since our last stay! The property owner goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and has a gift basket filled with wine, chocolates, and other snacks, as well as information about the local area and a personalized note :) In addition, she touched base with us often to ensure we had everything we needed. The property/location is exactly what our family needs when visiting the area and we’re so grateful for Ms. Brighid’s hospitality!

Family Getaway

Our mini family Cedar Point trip was awesome. This have its Pros and Cons. The Pros are the kayaks, the recently added hot tub, so many games, and the cleanliness of the home. Eventhough the home looks outdated from the outside, the inside have been updated to a more modern style. We had a family of 10, so the one bathroom was a bit of a hassle. Overall, the house was clean, provides about everything you need, and it has tons of games!!

Great little homebase for the area!

Property was amazing. Enjoyed the modern amenities along with the location. Drive wasn't far from any of the areas and interior was great to play the plenty of board games we brought! If you enjoy living in a more tight area with your friends and family to enjoy their company, then this is the place for you. Enough space for people to do their own thing or play along with others.
