Standard prices way overpriced but found discount and was nice. Great location decent restaurant popoSol etc. Rooms spacious but maybe a little tired. Short walk to center but prefer malecon. No bar but can have drinks in restaurant.
Well satisfied with the service. Only ate at the restaurant hotel once for breakfast, the spread was good and so was the coffee, the pastries and selection were not that good. Great location which allows for strolls to the Malecon (Seawall) and Centro Historico (Downtown). Do recommend it if in search of hotel away from the busy (more touristy) Boca del Rio beach area.
We spent one night at this mid-range business class hotel and were very satisfied. We have stayed at many Fiesta Inns in Mexico and are always struck by the consistently excellent service given by the friendly and efficient staff. This particular Fiesta Inn is located a few short blocks from the Centro Historico and it faces the commercial part of the malecon, or boardwalk. It is about a 20-30 minute walk from the Veracruz Aquarium and an easy cab ride to anywhere else in the city. The airconditioning in the room was very good, as was the wifi service. There is a small gym with one treadmill, one stairmaster, two stationary bikes, some free weights and a couple of resistence machines. There is also a small pool that would serve for about a quarter-lap for serious swimmers. There is free indoor parking available, but it is limited.
I stayed with my family during the peak season - end of December, price was reasonable - 70 USD per night, we stayed in the second floor with no view to the ocean. I would say the hotel is nice, probably a bit old, room are big and not cozy, you have all the amenities you need - pool, gym, room service, restaurant, and probably the best asset this hotel has is location, it's like 100 mts from the Malecon, you will have access to the Port's main attractions. Staff is nice and parking was included, I would suggest anyone to stay, the hotel is very well located.
This hotel has an ideal location if your visiting for leisure. You can walk to several nice restaurants and areas of interest. It has a small pool but very nice. The view to the ocean is unique. An easy walk to Café de La Parroquia or in the evenings to Los Portales to listen to mariachi band and the famous marimba.
4 day 3 night stay, the A/C didn't work well and it was way too noisy. Although they moved me to a better room, same thing happened, the A/C didn't work too. It is a silent hotel in front of the pier, and few steps away from Downtown. Nice service at the front desk, and great food at the restaurant try the "Tortas".
Having no time to book in other properties in the veracruz area I decided to go with fiesta inn malecon veracruz. Upon arrival, I had already told the hotel i was a platinum member of their program and which type of bed i wanted. When I checked in, they gave me an ocean looking room, which was regular, just 1 window, and the king sized bed. I was told by the front desk person they had the platinum floor but with 2 queen sized beds. After a few hours it was magically not available. They were also offering at an extra charge, junior suites, etc., when I asked to pay, that was also not available. The rooms and hallways look tired, they need renovating, the furniture is patched up and requires a make over. The hotel has been converted to the new Fiesta INN Business hotels, but it doesnt live up to those standards. Staff at the restaurant was the best, the restaurant looks nice and refreshed, but the rest of the hotel doesnt. It´s conviniently located in the malecon area, but of course boca del rio is where the new properties are. I would not stay here again unless needed, or overnight. It is safe, everything works, but for 138 dollars per night, I expected a lot more.
The location of the hotel is really great - just on the harbor with some rooms which are facing the sea. The old downtown is in 5 minutes walk. Thew room what I had was big, but the floor was covered with good thick layer of construction dust. It look like nobody was living there for a long period of time. Another thing: personal AC unit! It is old type, when all the unit in one piece is located INSIDE the room. The noise it producing is abnormally high and intensive, so definitely you will need to switch it off for a night! Not each room will have the access to balcony - some of the balcony doors was converted to windows in order to accommodate those horrible AC units. The food in the restaurant is good, the waiters are efficient, but absolutely do not understand languages other than Spanish (and this is a big disadvantage). Also there is no separate hotel bar, but old city is near, so this is not a big problem.
Decided to "push the boat out" for final days of trip and this was hotel of choice Superb location on harbour which was vessel heavy with great activity Sea front room gave me best possible view There is also inside pool which clearly a hit with families But what enormous disappointment with standard fixtures and fittings For price paid I expected a dash or two of comfort but the "fitting " is absolutely basic and what you expect from budget hotel Also watch out as there is no hotel bar;just a bar area in restaurant where inevitably underemployed staff chattering amongst selves and missing opportunity to impress All I heard all night was the ping -ping of a microwave in the kitchen.does that"chef" stand taller than the street food trader working with a couple of pans? Also check for courtesy car to airport which competitors are offering
I have been using this hotel for years. The location is very good because in the evenings you can walk to the old downtown area and many traditional restaurants and you can always walk on the Malecon.
