Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach

Lovely location and great friendly bell hop and valet service. The reception experience was not all that great. I do love this hotel though.

The room was updated with calming décor. The ocean view from my balcony was breathtaking. I loved the whole experience at the Crowne.

Comfortable room. Decent balcony. Located on the beach, walkable area w/ trail. Hiked Santa Monica Mountains...gorgeous views.

Nice hotel, close to the beach and nice restaurants. Staff were friendly and accommodating

So beautiful and comfortable. Very relaxing stay. The service was excellent, location was great with stunning views of the ocean.

It was an ok place to sleep and take a shower, like a Motel 7. So if you're expecting a loot of luxury for $300/night, you won't find that here. But the plus side is that it's in a great location! It's right on the beach and very easy to just walk out and be at the waves in a few steps. One thing that was irksome was that the elevators were super slow. There were only 3 elevators to serve many hundreds of rooms. And to make it worse one of those 3 was broken, so really only 2 elevators. If you stay on the 4th floor or lower, just use the stairs because you're going to wait forever. And when the elevator finally does come, it's full of people so you can't ride it anyway.

This hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. The room we paid $289 for didn't look anything like the pictures on their website. Way overpriced.

The patio is the envy of the beach. The staff is honest. My son lost his wallet, with 50 cash. We got it back with the cash. We will be staying here again...

This hotel is old but closeness to the beach makes the rooms be full at least during our stay in summer. Just be advised that there are not enough convenient parking spots available close to hotel. And basically there is no room facing the ocean, so based on the staff's definition higher floor rooms are considered ocean view regardless of whether they are close to the beach or close to the railway at the back side of the hotel. Overall the stay was minimally okay and overpriced.

Nice hotel great service right on Ventura Beach. Great restaurants next door to the hotel. Easy access to the freeway.

Great location near the pier, on the beach, close to shops, restaurants, and the nearby mission. Staff super friendly and helpful. Food is good - we had room service twice, and the on-site restaurant, but the menus are very limited. The building is old, and it desperately needs a face lift with some TLC, especially the way way they nickel and dime you for extra cash - 20% added service charges instead of 18% like most places. Watch out for the $12 added parking fees PER DAY not included in the advertised room rate. $5 for a bottle of water in your room.... I get that it is a Hilton property, but it is definitely not one of their better maintained properties, and it just doesn't justify top Hilton prices.... And I hope you like trains.....

Overall experience was good. Loved the restaurant in the hotel, especially the happy hour! The beach is immediately outside of the hotel. The annoying loud train was the biggest dissappointment. Woke us up every few hours!

Only hotel right on the beach, within walking distance to downtown Ventura. Didn't eat at the hotel restaurant but there is a very nice steakhouse across the alley.

I told my husband we need to stay every year for anniversary. I love area and restaurants

Our room 1111 is only partial ocean view and overlooking busy traffic, which is a bit disappointing.

Hotel was nice and the view was beautiful from the balcony.

Plus side, they have a very nice staff from the check-in to the bell service. The restaurant, Nom, is also fun and good. The cons... For the price, a mediocre chain hotel. No hot tub which is just weird since there is a pool and ample space. Trains!! They roar by with full whistle until 11pm and start up again at 4:30am!! The hotel needs to install double pane glass at the very least.

First time in Ventura in many years. Stayed at the Crowne Plaza. The location was great. You can walk right out of the hotel and you are on the beach. All rooms have an ocean view with a balcony. The location is perfect. Only a 2 minute walk to the pier and less than a 5 minute walk to downtown and the mission. The only downside is the train that seems to come around 5:30 in the morning and blows its horn. However, that is something that most of Ventura has to deal with. Overall for the money it was a great hotel at a great location. I would definitely return.

I like the beach and that the hotel is near the water and I like the view but I paied for the breakfast online and at the hotel they told me I can only order eggs from the whole menu which is they did not menthon in reservation.

From check in to check out there was nothing special about this hotel. The pictures online looked beautiful. The actual hotel was run down and did not have any special appeal. Walking distance to downtown. Watched police arrest a bum from our balcony.
