Great place!

PROPERTY WAS BEING RENOVATED, FAMOUS RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED, I ARRIVED AT 11 AM, BUT THEY COULD NOT GET ME INTO MY ROOM UNTIL 5:30 PM.

The location of this property is amazing. Easy beach access to a fantastic beach. Friendly and helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast is awesome and historic value of the location is fun added unquiet aspect. Great location for people traveling with kids.

Was very good I liked the room good ocean view all good however thought was a bit much for a weekday stay and I was not given a receipt due to booking with you hmm not sure why

Breakfast was cold and unappealing

If there is one thing that needs to be improved, is the shower head ; it is installed in such an odd way that it looks like someone wasn’t thinking straight while designing the installation of the shower head and the size of the shower. Other than that that premises are beautiful

We stayed in the Vickers Estate, a building from the 1910s. Lots of good things about this hotel (good restaurant, warm pool, vintage rooms with ocean view, pet-friendly, walking distance to beach), but some room for improvement (pricey restaurant, no signs to find rooms, ocean view was past a freeway, A/C didn't work).

The location is great. The room smelled a bit musty. A bit dated.

This is a special, old school property with beautiful views. The rooms are nice but not exactly posh. They have a wonderful restaurant which has been closed due to the pandemic. Same with the pool. The remodel/restoration of the lobby and main 1910 building is still not finished, so that was surprising (we were last here in 2016 and it was going on then). We still love it here!

Great location and clean rooms. Some construction but did not interfere with stay.

The guy who checked us in said "The property isn't in great shape so I'd rather put you in this building instead of the 700 building". We didn't know what that meant so it was just an odd statement. I appreciate the recommendation to stay in the 100 building, but why tell us is somethings was undesirable when we didn't even know it existed.

Very nice setting with a large, clean balcony and ocean views. It appears the owners are in the midst of updating some parts of the property. Highway 101 is close but I didn't think the noise was bad nor did it interfere with a very pleasant stay. Staff, parking, and the property itself were all very nice. A good restaurant on the property with a terrific and comfortable setting.

The smell in the room was horrible. Even opening the window did not help. It smelled like poo.

the cottage was great. unfortunately they dont make you aware if an event will occur during your stay.
