I got very sick from whatever they used to spray this room. I almost had to go to a doctor. Made me vomit.

Rooms were nice, clean, and modern. Comfortable vibe but really hard beds. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was excellent! Hotel is walking distance to downtown and the beach. No working jacuzzi as seen in pics though :( however the hotel next door let us use their spa and pool for the time being. Their pool was heated too, so that was awesome. Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Appears to be recently remodeled. Good location close to the downtown district and beach. Staff is courteous and friendly. The room was clean and wifi signal was very good. Breakfast was also pretty good.

We went to Ventura for a short anniversary trip. The hotel was great, very retro redecorating, great breakfast & the staff was great. Easy walk to a beautiful beach.... will definitely be back.

My husband, daughter, and I usually stay at the holiday inn express, but decided to give this hotel a try. Driving in, we were a little uneasy because it looked much smaller and rinkydink than we expected. Once we got in the room, however we were pleasantly surprised to find it was a recently refurbished room with upgraded amenities. Easily one of the cheapest and most comfortable rooms I've stayed in. The shower was pretty relaxing with the rain shower head. And its still close enough to Carpenteria and Santa Barbara! Will stay again if we travel here again!

Very friendly staff. They are renovating but the noise wasn't a problem. Breakfast was good. The room has everything you need, except a makeup mirror. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants, but I wouldn't walk at night, as a female, due to the nearby homeless population.

Nothing special. My son and dau in law's room view was of dumpsters, but thankfully there were bars on the window. Noise from train not too bad but from laundry room loud. We booked abt. 2 months in advance. Not satisfied

I like this hotel as it is very accessible to the beach, excellent fish restaurant 2 blocks away and Ventura County Fair within reasonable walking distance - saving the hassle of parking. Full breakfast - very good. Comfortable room with microwave and fridge.

We stayed the night here so that we could drive to the SB Zoo in the morning. Comfy beds, clean room, good breakfast. Good value for the price we paid. One thing though, I think the website says the pool is heated, though it wasn't. No biggie, but would have been nice if it was.

walking distance to the beach. good breakfast included. they were renovating the hotel while I was there. downtown location close to stores and dinning. very pleasant staff.

Very relaxing. Check in was smooth and quick. Room was comfortable and clean.

It is very close to the beach , just ten minutes walk to the beach. But too close to the highway and train line ,so sometimes have a little noise

The room i got exceeded my expectations, it was clean and smelled good unlike other hotels. Staff was helpful and great, would definitely go back!

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was in great condition. Breakfast was great. There were so many options to pick out from. Hotel is pretty close to the freeway and easy to find. The only downside is the parking situation but not a big problem. Definitely worth the price and will stay here again if I ever go that way again.

The location was great. Within walking distance to the beach, pier and downtown. Sleepy little town lots of restaurants and pizza places. I recommend Mr.Lee's chinese takeout it was even good the next day. The hotel has a fridge and microwave so you can keep food fresh. Close to the freeway to drive up or down the coast.

Front desk was friendly, breakfast was good, but the room was full of flies and mosquitoes and moths. Had to be killing them all night. Outside our door were about 10 grasshoppers as well. We traveled with our baby and did not like the environment. How can you sleep in a room with bugs flying everywhere?

Pleasantly surprised by this Best Western in Ventura. Easy walk to beach and main street; clean, well laid out room; comfortable bed; nice breakfast included; friendly staff. Staff recommendation for dinner was great. We were only passing through, but a couple night stay would have been fine also. Were impressed enough that we booked our next night in Atascadero at a Best Western also and were equally pleased. Only potential negative, which didn't affect us, is that it's close to the train tracks, but trains at night weren't an issue.

Good time by the beach in Ventura. Will definitely come. Back again.

Excellent staff. Somewhat noisy with train tracks nearby. Great breakfast and well maintained by the staff. Strong wireless signal.

Great location, only 3 blocks from Main St businesses, and a short bridge walk to the beach. Clean, super staff, and mostly quiet - except for the 3;13am train that I thought was coming through my room. Ask for a room as far from the tracks as possible.
