I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice. The best thing is all of the staff: Andrea transformed our holiday from good to exceptional with his recommendations. You will be offered a map, tell reception your interests and pay close attention to what is said and written on the map! This was our second visit to Venice and our previous hotel was full (thank goodness) and we chose Hotel Firenze for its location and the terrace. We travelled very easily from Marco Polo airport to the hotel with Alilaguna water bus service. The San Marco stop is three minutes from the hotel. Turn left when you land and cross one little bridge. Turn right then left then look on the floor on the right hand side for the Hotel Firenze sign opposite Louis Vuitton shop. The entrance is through a little alley into a courtyard. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco which we chose to have on the beautiful terrace. The hotel is very clean. The room was decorated in Venetian style with lighting made of big colourful glass flowers. The bathroom was not spacious but was modern with good plumbing. Breakfast was excellent with good coffee, mini croissants filled with cold meat or cheese and salad, as well as all of the normal cold buffet options. The only minor niggle was that the AC appeared to be turned off at night but we never mentioned this to reception and so it is definitely not a complaint. We had not realised that Venetian food can be amazing. Andrea recommended restaurants and food that were outstanding. Sometimes his recommendations were not even on the menu but we would still be happily served with specialities as simple as gnocchi or as unusual as linguine and langoustine served from a paper bag! Examples of the hotel's attention to detail were grapes or biscuits left in the room in the morning and a chocolate on our pillows in the evening. We also liked the piano music (often Bach) available as an audio choice beside the bed. I hope that you enjoy The Hotel Firenze as much as we did.
This hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable. It is a little hidden off the walkway, we walked by it three times. It's located just steps from ST.Marks square and the Doge Palace. The staff is awesome, the front desk will help with all your questions and give you some history of Venice. They told us we would get lost and they were very right, " but enjoy it because you are in Venice". The terrace on top is a nice place to enjoy the sounds of Venice. I would stay there again tomorrow if I could. Go to Venice, stay at this hotel and enjoy.
Fantastic hotel in a perfect spot in Venice. Really easy to get around the city with everything close by. Great service and comfortable rooms with kind, helpful staff. They offer a really nice breakfast too!
Small hotel in excellent location, close to St. Marks' Piazza and the Canal. Front desk super friendly and gave us a lot of advice about restaurants and activities. There is a lift and nice terrace. The room was not good size, and we had nice complimentary juice and chocolates, we also had slippers and nice toiletries. The room was very clean and in great condition. The bathroom was small and the fan was on all the time you turn the light on, so if you get up at night could be noisy.. The beds and pillows were OK. The continental breakfast was excellent, with tasty croissants, different kinds of bread and pastries and we had great service but the restaurant was very small and the tables to close to each other for my taste, maybe it would have been better to have breakfast in the terrace...we did not use it. They do not have a sign to put outside your door "DO NOT DISTURB" which I found different to say the least. Overall is a very good hotel and in excellent location.
Great little hotel just a very short walk from Piazza San Marco and the Grand Canal. Room was nice and clean and breakfast was wonderful. There was also a nice roof top terrace with great views to enjoy a beer and prosecco. Staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful with things to see, places to eat etc, they booked us tables at two restaurants and both were great. When back in Venice will stay again.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. It was small, but extremely central, 2 mins walk from st Marks square. Beautiful rooftop garden with stunning views over the rooftops. The room were extremely clean. It was a continental breakfast but lots to choose from, something for everyone. They do not offer evening meal. But they made us a reservation at very nice family restaurant.
Small and welcoming hotel steps from the Piazza San Marco. Small rooms, very clean. Lovely breakfast buffet included in room rate. Rooftop terrace. Helpful concierge. Fourth floor rooms have little balconies, which make the rooms seem larger.
Can't beat this location. This hotel is very clean, comfortable and offers a wonderful breakfast. We were only steps from San Marco square, designer shopping and excellent restaurants. You can enjoy the music every evening and most days.
Well located a few steps from San Marco we enjoyed this "well hidden" small hotel. Great desk staff overflowed with suggestions for shopping and dining. Housekeeping did a great job with the nicely furnished room and the breakfast was varied and abundant. Highly recommend Hotel Firenze.
Located about 2 blocks from St. Mark's Square, and a block to the St. Marks vaporetto, it is the perfect location to many of the major tourist sights. The hotel had a nice welcome gift of water and amaretto cookies waiting in our room and chocolates on our pillow at night. Free wi-fi. The room is a bit worn but has an old world charm. The front desk is staffed with helpful and cheery staff. Really enjoyed talking to Alex about his passion for American football. The only negative was the singer at a local restaurant nearby. Every night he would sing a little off key so it would be hard to sleep. Thankfully I always bring earplugs plus being dead tired from walking all day, it didn't keep me awake for too long. They offer an nice breakfast buffet. 2 hot items and a host of cold dishes. We had to leave on an early morning train. We walked to the Rialto vaparetto (about a 10 minute walk). The "C" boat will take you to the train station in 10 minutes and comes every 12 min. The hotel is tucked off the street. The name is on the walkway like a doormat. Go through the passageway and you will see the door on the right hand side. If you're not looking up or down for the sign, you could miss the hotel.
