Wonderful little hotel near St Mark's square. No water entrance but available boat dock drop off within block or so. This is a small boutique hotel. What separates this place from others is the wonderful service and recommendations from Andrea at the front desk. His is advice is spot on from places to explore as well as restaurants. Breakfast is included and an unadvertised extra is roof top terrace with views of Venice.
I am in Venice for the Venice Biennale and so there is a lot of walking and meetings for 4 days during the opening. So staying in a hotel literally 5 minutes away from the San Marco Water-bus stop is vital. It's close to all the shops and cafes, yet giving me a slight distance away from the madness of the Giardini and Arsenale where the Biennale is being held. One night, I was stranded somewhere after a party. There were no more private taxis and one gallery owner , bless her, took me home with her boat. And thankfully I happen to be next to her hotel, otherwise if I had been really out of the way, it may have been harder for her to take me. So thank you Firenze to be so close to San Marco and all the luxury residences.
We enjoyed our stay here. Very close to the St. Mark's square. We loved that the location is also close to the waterbus stop. Staffs are very nice too. They make up the bed twice, in the morning and in the afternoon or evening. And we always have complimentary chocolates every day. We are happy to stay here again,
Hotel Firenze has an absolutely perfect location, only two blocks from San Marco Square and the lagoon. All of the concierge were so helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Would definitely stay there again
This hotel is a very short walk from the San Marco waterbus stop and very close for a water taxi pickup. It was easy to find, just a very short walk from a back corner of St Mark's Square. The bathroom was very well equipped; the bedroom was comfortable. It has 4 floors, with a lovely roof garden on 5. It has a lift. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfas was self service and had many, many choices available.
Hotel in strategic position for shopping, room are nice and breakfast is't very good. Very professional and customer oriented crew management. The hotel have a very amazing view on city by roof. If I will be in Venice I will book again this hotel
My husband has bought me the gift of a trip to Venice for our Anniversary and chosen this hotel because of its proximity to the centre, and what a little gem it is. Easy to find and very close to the vaporetto stop of S Marco Vallaresso. The hotel has 4 floors, a small breakfast room, a delightful terrace on the roof, and also a lift. The first night we were in room 103 but, as a light sleeper, I hardly slept due to the street noise. The next morning, we requested to move to a higher floor and within 2 hours we were in the gorgeous room 403 on the 4th floor which also had a beautiful bathroom and a pleasant terrace. The rooms are brightly decorated, have beautiful Murano glass light fittings, and have wooden window shutters. The bed and pillows were comfortable with a top sheet and blankets. We had complimentary bathroom slippers, toiletries, drinking water and juice, a little fruit and amaretto biscuits with nightly chocolates on our pillows. The staff, every single one of them, could not be kinder or more helpful. We met 4 different reception staff, a courteous 'bartender' for drinks on the terrace, and the breakfast staff. After I asked for apricot jam at breakfast, every morning they made sure I had the jam! Breakfast is a self-service selection of bread rolls, cold meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, plenty of fruit, yogurts, cakes and pastries, juices and even prosecco! Coffee, tea or hot chocolate was available too. Nothing was too much trouble and help and advice given readily with a smile. Having a glass of prosecco on the roof terrace at 6.30 pm, listening to the bells in glorious sunshine is a memory I will treasure for ever. On leaving, we were given a small token bottle of Limoncello. We would highly recommend this little treasure of a hotel.
He also spoke about 12 other languages! This is a fantastic hotel in a great location. Not right in the middle of all the foot traffic but 100 steps to the main attraction, and very accessible via water taxi or water bus (Vaporetto). There is a lift and you could get all the way from the train to your room with no steps! Well, one little step at the entrance, about 15cm high, but the staff would help you for sure! Venice is sinking so go see it while you still can!
Lovely traditional Venetian hotel. Location fantastic, just a few minutes from St Marks Square. Breakfast included was a very pleasant continental spread. The staff of this hotel could not have been more helpful or more friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Little touches like slippers in the bedroom was lovely, more than you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Great stay!
Stayed here for three nights and was really happy with this hotel. The location is fantastic, only one block from Piazza San Marco with lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby. The hotel itself was easy to find only 2 minutes walk from the vapporetto stop , you can get the Alilaguna from the airport which stops at San Marco. The directions they give you are very easy to use and the entrance is an archway opposite the Louis Vuitton store. The rooms were small but that is what we expected so we were not disappointed. It was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good,I would not rave about it but it was enough to give you a start to the day. The staff were very nice and helpful. I suggest you byo hairdryer, they one they provide was weak. The hotel does not allow irons and irons board in the rooms ( we found this in a few places in Italy) and they charge to iron for you.
