The hotel in general is not so bad. It's old and needs some restoration works, and the rooms are small, but it's certainly well located. The breakfast is too scarce to be really mentioned as ¨breakfast¨, even if Italians don’t eat large breakfast. A lot of the city’s visitors come from abroad. I was travelling with a friend, and naturally wanted separate beds. Through Booking.com I chose the option to have only separate beds. I also wrote in the comments of the reservation that there should be separate beds. The hotel gave us one small double bed. The hotel refused to give back the money (since we booked that same day), and tried to make us book another room with this leverage. Booking.com did nothing about it, after two calls from. I believe the hotel’s procedure was dishonest and the hotel shouldn’t offer what it does not have available.
Great location. Just in the centre of venice. Near public transit. Sightseeing, restaurants, cafes, bars are nearby. Rooms are quite small, which is the thing with most of the hotels at Venice. The staff people are quite professional and friendly. They were helpful enough to provide us with the necessary information about the city. Overall, a nice stay.
We were two friends staying in one double room. The room was very small, so barely no room for two small suitcases, or it was difficult to move in the room. However, it was very cosy and served its purpose. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was too limited to bred and croissant, and the coffee was not strong enough, which I find quite strange in Italy. All in all I recommend hotel Falier for its covenient location, charming neighbourhood and ok value for money.
...and very friendly service. I booking.com’ed and airbnb’ed alot before the trip and had to learn about (high) prices, (tiny) sizes and typical (poor) interior of hotel in the 100 EUR per night category first. However this hotel is located in the heart of olf Venice, just around the corner of the PANTALON and surround by little canals and narrow alleys to take a stroll... Rooms are indeed tiny but nicely decorated in italian classic style, bathroom as well small but functional and very clean. House is quite, had great sleep (untilthe jetlag kicked in ;) We would come here again!
Room was very small, about the size of a small double bedroom, having to squeeze past the beds to get around. Bathroom also very small with shower with curtain around it so tight giving no room to move around in the shower, good thing it is a 'wet room' so does not matter if you spray shower on toilet or sink. Staff were pleasant, especially lady on reception, hotel just needs an update as can see the wear and tear and dirt on many things such as carpets, fabric wallpaper? and furniture. Only suitable for a short stay and with maximum of two people.
Hotel was clean and good situated. The room was small, but big enough for two persons. One of the weak points was the bathroom. The shower was really small and the water was leaking out on the floor. Breakfast was a typicall Italian breakfast wiht great coffee. The staff was helpful and their English was fine.
This little gem is located in the middle of Venice and only a few minutes walk away from the train and bus station. Restaurants are literally next door. The rooms are small, but tastefully decorated. The hotel also features a small and quaint garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Last but not least, the price is very reasonable.
My family arrived in Venice on July 14 and had a poor experience at Falier Hotel. Check - in staff greeted me by stating we could not check in till 2pm, when my reservation statement indicated 12. After showing her the statement, she said the hotel would ready the room. The room itself was so small one could barely maneuver around in it. Sheets were stained and carpet not vacuumed. Insect found on one of the the towels. Bathroom light so dim one can barely see and takes eyes several minutes to adjust. One of bedside lamps not working. Breakfast is included in room rate but is sub-standard. Coffee is watery and poor quality. (Staff refused to provide us coffee at 7:30 in the morning, claiming they are "not allowed to make it and have to wait for the other designated staff."). At the rate we are paying of 600 Euros for 3 nights, these issues are completely unacceptable. Understood we are in Venice but this accommodation does not warrant the prices.
We missed our train home to Verona and managed to get a last minute room at this hotel for 100euro which we thought was an excellent price! The guy at reception who helped us was great. The hotel itself seemed no frills and it served us well for the few hours we needed to sleep!
Great staff, helpful and smiley. Brekky was ok, very little to choose from. Ok room, a bit outdated. But wallpaper is not wallpaper!! 😳In this hotel its real posh fabric with venetian styling. Very pricey to be a two star hotel but im guessing you can set whatever price you want here. Its flooded with tourists with deep pockets. 😂The city is amazing so it helps the sting of a hotell room priced as it was a Venetian Castle... 😉
