Hotel Falier2.0 out of 5.0

This little gem is located in the middle of Venice and only a few minutes walk away from the train and bus station. Restaurants are literally next door. The rooms are small, but tastefully decorated. The hotel also features a small and quaint garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Last but not least, the price is very reasonable.
My family arrived in Venice on July 14 and had a poor experience at Falier Hotel. Check - in staff greeted me by stating we could not check in till 2pm, when my reservation statement indicated 12. After showing her the statement, she said the hotel would ready the room. The room itself was so small one could barely maneuver around in it. Sheets were stained and carpet not vacuumed. Insect found on one of the the towels. Bathroom light so dim one can barely see and takes eyes several minutes to adjust. One of bedside lamps not working. Breakfast is included in room rate but is sub-standard. Coffee is watery and poor quality. (Staff refused to provide us coffee at 7:30 in the morning, claiming they are "not allowed to make it and have to wait for the other designated staff."). At the rate we are paying of 600 Euros for 3 nights, these issues are completely unacceptable. Understood we are in Venice but this accommodation does not warrant the prices.
We missed our train home to Verona and managed to get a last minute room at this hotel for 100euro which we thought was an excellent price! The guy at reception who helped us was great. The hotel itself seemed no frills and it served us well for the few hours we needed to sleep!
Great staff, helpful and smiley. Brekky was ok, very little to choose from. Ok room, a bit outdated. But wallpaper is not wallpaper!! 😳In this hotel its real posh fabric with venetian styling. Very pricey to be a two star hotel but im guessing you can set whatever price you want here. Its flooded with tourists with deep pockets. 😂The city is amazing so it helps the sting of a hotell room priced as it was a Venetian Castle... 😉
A friend and I found Hotel Falier the day of or stay on Hotel Tonight. We arrived to the only room on the 4th floor, with an updated bathroom and a private rooftop patio. The staff was VERY helpful and kind! The breakfast is a standard Italian breakfast: yogurt, croissants, rolls, coffee/cappuccino/latte. We ended up booking the hotel for the following two nights as well! Highly recommend!
I would advise this hotel to pay attention to damp levels in their rooms - I am an asthmatic who visited in the middle of July and found this room to be incredibly cold because the air conditioning would be left on by house keeping. The unit being on all day left an awful dampness in the room, and in the interiors - it was visible. This is a serious health risk! Luckily, I carry an inhaler but went home very ill due to my two nights stay here. Be sure to ask to move rooms if you end up on the ground floor where my damp room was located! This aside, I spent very little time in the hotel but the staff were friendly and greeted me in the mornings and evenings.
We stayed here for a long weekend, the staff were very accommodating and always willing to help. The rooms were extremely dated and definitely need a bit of TLC they were kept clean every day with fresh towels. We were told Venice smelt but we did not find this the only place that smelt was our bathroom we think it was coming from the shower as my husband is a plumber. The room was small but this is ok for a short break the beds are very uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok they provide bread rolls, corn flakes, jams, croissants and juices that is all. The hotel itself is in a brilliant location though short walks or water taxis to everything and the weather was beautiful! The hotel charges a 2 euro tax charge per person for each night you stay just be mindful of this as it must be paid the day you leave. Free Wifi which was good. Overall the hotel is in a good location but is very very dated and could do with a bit of an upgrade. We would come back providing it has been updated.
We were recommended this hotel by a friend and so without any knowledge of Venice we went with it. It's been perfect. 10 mins walk from the station. Small comfortable room, with all basics but without frills.
Superb hotel with silk lined walls breakfast was usual biscuits fruit and cake.. just around the corner from the coach station.we ended up taking an hour to get there on the river bus going the wrong way around..the free boat to the glass company via the hotel was excellent but did feel as if we were being pushed into buying glass objects i.e. 4 foot stallion at very high prices, soon got out of there to the normal priced glass.. a wonderful beautiful place but 3 days is enough to see the lot .. would not like to visit in the hot summer months due to the smells of the waterways..we will be going back to the hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for a weekend in January with my husband. The location was great, very easy to get there from the airport as it is located close to the bus station. The walk to the centre was very enjoyable (not long at all), and the area was great, full of good bars, restaurants and shops - a lot cheaper than in the centre. The staff in the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom was good and clean too, with a nice shower. Breakfast was very good, especially the coffee - prepared by a lovely lady with a big smile. Overall we loved this hotel and if we ever return to Venice we will definitely stay here again.
