We arrived in the evening and the concierge showed us to our room which was on the ground floor round the back. To say the bedroom was small is an understatement. The bathroom was decent sized but the lighting was terrible, one strip neon style lighting that made you feel like you were in a shoddy nightclub, and one overhead light which made very little difference. The room and bathroom both had spots of mould on the ceilings and walls. The 'double bed' was just two beds pushed together covered with a sheet and the bed itself wasn't particularly comfortable. The staff were nice enough and were quick to respond to requests, although we were asked to check out earlier than agreed quite rudely twice. The breakfast was fine, lots of choice, fairly basic. The hotel advertises having WiFi in rooms, however it's really crap. Doesn't work half the time and when it does it's unbelievably slow. In terms of locations you're about a 20 min bus ride from Venice itself. Mestre is a good area. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
This was the second stopover of our visits to Rome, Venice & Florence. After the disappointment of the hotel in Rome we we pleasantly surprised by the Apogia Sirio. There was a wonderful welcome from Josef. ..and we were sited in the ground floor annexe. The room was big with everything you needed. The breakfasts were simply delicious and in the evening the restaurant served a selection of very nice meals, all well priced...as were the drinks in bar. It was well placed for bus trips (No 2) to the train station...or directly across to venice lagoon - very cheap tickets from tobacconists. If I had to nit pick..,the room was difficult to keep comfortably cool. I'd be happy to visit again...
They have the best pizza margarita ever, it is sooo delicious. The room was clean and service was good but elevators are too small so if you are carrying big luggage it can be a little tricky. Great location. La mejor pizza margarita que e probado en la vida.
The hotel is situated in Mestre and is two minutes walk from bus service directly into and out of Venice. Working on the desk is Karim who is an absolute gentleman and could not be more helpful. The hotel could do with coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms.
The location is perfect and it takes 20 minutes to Venice by bus;also 10 minutes to Mestre main bus station. There are many great places by walk distance,daPino is our favorite restourant also 10 minutes by walk. The lady in the front office is great and More and more better than the all hotel, she is 5 star:)Breakfast is good enough but when We asked for boiled egg they Said it is”extra”and it is funny.the hotel is re newed but the old furnitures and linens are still old, dirty. The price is expensive for here. The mini bar had only one coke, one fanta, one beer, one water.hope they dont charge for something was here before:)the bed is not double bed, they twin the single ones.
Very nice hotel. Clean room and bathroom. Nice restaurant where we had two lovely breakfasts which included bacon and scrambled eggs as well as the continental offerings. Very nice and friendly staff too. The number 2 bus is about 75 yards from the hotel which took us on a twenty minute trip into Venice for €3 each return, bargain
I booked this hotel for me and my partner on a budget, I’m glad I did as I lost my job while we was away which ruined the last couple of days. The hotel though was lovely with modern, decent sized rooms. The staff were lovely and friendly and the breakfast was great for the price. The hotel has good amenities including free WIFI, a fridge in the room and the complementary shampoo, shower gels and other toiletry items. It’s ideally located and only a short walk to the train station to get to the main island at just €2,50 There is also a nice Italian restaurant a few doors down and it’s close by an American grill house and a Lidl. The only negative is that it is located on a busy roundabout which did get noisy at times. If I was in Venice again, I would stop here.
Planning our trip to Venice we decided not to be in the center of the city due to the crowds and mainly playing with the budget. The hotel is located 10 mins ride in the quiet town of Mestre very near to Marco Polo airport or like in our case to Mestre-Venice train station since we were coming from Florence. It's near to bus stop to Venice and has everything needed around it. Great service at the front desk, clean spacious rooms and a good breakfast. The difference in prize with the hotels of its kind in Venice was huge!
We were at the Apogia last year and decided to stay there agin this year. We spent two nights and again, we were not disappointed. Location is perfect in the small town of Mestre. Bus #2 stop on the left of the hotel takes you directly to Venice. If you arriving from the airport, buy your bus ticket inside and take bus #15. Get off at Piazza Ottobre and walk your way to the hotel (15 minutes walk). On the right, there is a pizzeria Ae Oche which makes super good pizza. Personnel is very helpful. Room is perfect size, bed linen and bathroom were clean, breakfast offers both hot and cold options. The Apogia Sirio is MY hotel choice when going to Venice.
