Not cheap. But great hotel close to everything you can walk from train station

Helpful staff. Tucked away near some great local food. Beautiful room.

Clean nice place to stay in residential area great local restraunts near by all away from tourist scene really enjoyed our stay, staff was great.

Venice was wonderful, and this hotel was in a great spot for exploring the city but not being right in the middle of things. It was a little dark when getting back late for the night but other than that loved it

The hotel was better than expected. Very quiet neighborhood, not too far from the central station, great stuff, amazing breakfast and clean room. We had booked a basic double room, but got the Junior Suite instead, which was a great surprise. Overall, definitely recommended for the price.

My wife and I enjoyed the Ai Mori D'Oriente Hotel; however, had we not been able to take advantage of the O special rate, we would not have chosen to stay here. The full rate did not seem to warrant the distance to Piazza San Marco and lack of spa services. With that said, we actually enjoyed staying a bit further away from the main tourist area as it was quiet and much less crowded, and the breakfast was really wonderful.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area just 2 canals away from some of the action. The room was nice and spacious and the staff friendly. The only downside was you only get 30 minutes of free internet access and then must pay for more time.

Had a great time and the staff was great as well! Off the beaten path of the tourist trap, perfect for couples.

Our room was on a quiet courtyard away from the street. It was on the street level and there was evidence of past flood damage on the wood work. I would ask for a room on an upper floor - but we were out site seeing and shopping so much that we did not spend much time in the room. The room was smaller than expected but it was really well decorated and fairly comfortable. I am a light sleeper and found this to be one of the quieter rooms that I have stayed in. The location is a bit distant from the main tourist spots - Saint Marks. But it is an easy walk from the train and bus stations and we found good restaurants near by. Overall I would say the location was a plus.

Very helpful staff. Good facility. Good location. Our only problem with the hotel was the absence of an elevator. We had cruise luggage with us, and had to haul some very HEAVY suitcases down the stairs when we left. Fortunately the bell boy carried it all up for us.

The Ai Mori D'Oriente is a charming boutique hotel located on a quiet canal in a residential neighborhood in Venice. If you want to stay in a more authentic area away from the tourist crowds of San Marco and Rialto areas, but want to be able to get to the center of it all easily, this is the place for you. There are two vaporetto stops nearby that put Venice at your feet. The staff is very friendly and attentive, speak perfect English, and are extremely accommodating. The rooms are charming and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is also excellent. This is my third booking at this hotel, and every time I've stayed there it has been a very positive experience.

We really enjoy our two night stay with those nice people.

the hotel is visually stunning, with gorgeous decor, high ceilings and great breakfast. Unfortunately, our beautiful room was practically uninhabitable -- the room itself smelled of stale smoke, and the marble bathroom smelled like an open sewer. Brushing one's teeth was torture!

Beautifully decorated hotel in a unusually peaceful part of Venice, a welcome break from the crowds. This also means it is a bit challenging to get to with a lot of luggage, but we thought it was worth the effort. Without luggage, it was a pleasant walk to the main attractions and vaparetto stop. Our room was nicely decorated and spacious compared to our other rooms in Italy, even room for a sofa. The bathroom was also more spacious than others we've had in Italy, was very clean and had nice extras such as the heated towel rack. The hotel itself was sumptuously decorated, and we enjoyed the bar and the beautiful breakfast room. The front desk staff was quite gracious. This was our favorite hotel during our stay in Italy, and we will definitely return there should our travels take us back to Venice!

I had great difficulty finding the hotel. I was given the wrong directions on two different occasions. However, the last person I talked to on a bridge pointed me in the direction that I had previously visited. I decided to go in across that bridge and I did find the hotel. About 30 minutes earlier I was less than 100 meters from it and given other directions. The hotel was clean and the people very kind. I enjoyed my overnight stay.

This hotel was not in the center of things, but not far either. It was located on a canal in a very quiet neighborhood and an easy walk from everything. We especially enjoyed that. Our room was small, but comfortable. The front desk staff was very cordial. Breakfast was included and was very good. The bar was intimate and a nice place to kill an hour on a rainy afternoon. The bathroom amenities were good. The shower was a bit too small. Overall, we did enjoy our experience here.
