This hotel is fantastic, I strongly recommend you to stay here. The hotel is situated within a short walk from the biggest tourist attractions, like St. Marks Square, Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal... Nearby you have a range of good restaurants and local shops as well. The room was the best that I stayed till now, very beautiful decorations, clean and spotless, good size and the deluxe rooms come whit hydromassage bath what is amazing❤ The breakfast is good as well, they don't have a big range of food but what they have is worth it. The receptionist is very friendly and they have an excellent customer service. Definitely I will come back...Thank you.
We stayed at the hotel for 5 days/4 nights. We took a water bus from the airport and got off at the san zaccaria stop (€15 each one way) From the stop to the hotel its only a 5-10 minute walk. It was very easy to find using google maps. It could be a bit harder just using direction as the alleys are narrow and twisty and there is more than one way to get there. USE GOOGLE "NAVIGATE TO" We where early, but after a short waite we where checked in and went to our room (201). There is a lift. WOW! What a lovely room. Massive bed. Marble floor, fresco ceiling. Big bathroom with whirlpool bath and seperate power shower (for 2), mini bar. One of the nicest rooms I have had in Europe. The room faced into a small court yard. There is a school next door and you could hear the children in the morning, but we where up and it wasnt loud. Breakfast, as you will see in many reviews, was OK, typical continental. There was pleanty to start you off for the dayThe lady serving coffees and tea was pleasent. The location was fantastic. All the main sights are an easy walk, again 5-10 minutes to St Marks Sq or the water front. The staff overall where pleasent. One Italian man, 40is, was a bit.... blunt. When we asked if there was an iron, all I got was No. There where a few niggles No Iron. I have never stayed in a hotel that didnt have an iron in the room, or some place you could go to iron. Hair dryer was in the bathroom mounted in the bathroom. My wife has long hair and had to stand a long time drying her hair. We had to leave early to catch our flight, so didnt get our breakfast. We have stayed at hotels that provided a pack breakfast to take. Just a couple croissants, some fruit, and juice. That would have been nice. Over all I would not hesitate to recomend this hotel. It was pretty darn near perfect.
We recently had a 4 night stay at the Ai Due Principi and thought the hotel was just lovely. We had a delightful room and very spacious. Extremely comfortable. The only noticeable issue was that there was a slight odour when we first arrived, but that could have been Venice and it did go after a few hours. Perhaps it was the drains !!!! It certainly did not spoil our stay one bit.
Stayed for 4 nights and had two rooms, one classic and one deluxe. Our deluxe room (number 104) on the first floor was spacious and very clean. The room overlooked the canal at the front. Bathroom was large with efficient walk in shower (no bath - which was fine for us). Also had tea making facilities. We found the large bed to be very comfortable. Our son had a classic room on the second floor which was equally as nice except slightly smaller and with a view of the inner courtyard. Wi -fi was non existent in our room but excellent in our son's room and also in the common areas on the ground floor. Our friends who had two rooms on the 2nd floor also had excellent wi- fi, so we were just unlucky. Overall this small hotel was spotlessly clean and in an excellent location. A relatively quiet area but not deserted and within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go. There were plenty of nice restaurants in the locality. The staff we encountered were friendly and efficient and the front desk happy to recommend a restaurant when we asked on the first night. There is nothing else going on at the hotel so if you are looking for evening atmosphere or any sort of entertainment then you will not find it here. That was not a problem for us. Breakfast was ok but not outstanding - a limited choice. The lady that served the coffee in the morning however was very friendly. Overall we could not fault the rooms or the location and it was perfect for us. Breakfast quality stopped me from rating this as excellent.
My wife and me visited this hotel last weekend and we had an overall very positive experience. We had a friendly and warm welcome at the small front desk, followed by a very efficient check-in. We took a bus boat from the airport, arriving at nearly five minutes walking distance from the hotel. Our room at ground floor level had the magic number 007. I was warned by the front desk officer that the bed may be too small for me. I am almost two metres tall, but either I am used to short beds, or it was really not so bad. I can assure you it was the latter. The room was very nice decorated in contemporary romantic style, offering a well functioning airco, a minibar and a flatscreen TV. The bathroom was virtually bigger than the sleeping room, so very spacious and recently tastefully renovated. The elevator entrance at ground level is next to the entrance door of the room, which on its turn is located next to the breakfast room and an outside patio as well. This may be somewhat noisy, but to be honest, we did not suffer from it very much. Maybe due to the relatively low season. Breakfast is plain and simple, but very sufficient for us. Very friendly and adequate service during breakfast as well. People who are complaining about an unfriendly staff in this hotel, may have checked in during the shift of the night reception. But also there we met a friendly staff, maybe somewhat more reserved compared to the staff during day time. We have experienced extensive help from the front desk with regard to all the specific questions we had. There is a lot to do in Venice and we have been provided with very helpful tips and tricks, also with regard to the transfer back to the airport with a water taxi that was directly arranged by the front desk staff. The indicated price of the taxi service, was the price we had to pay to the boat driver, which was a relieve. So, overall we had a very pleasant stay in a very comfortable hotel, located in a relatively quiet mini-zone in the middle of where it all happens in Venice, nearby the Piazza San Marco.
At first, it was not that easy locating this hotel but I guessed most hotels in venice were like that. Once you know the area (took us about 2 hours), the location was actually pretty convenient. Walked everywhere ..less than 10 mins walk to St Marks, zaccaria water bus was about 5 mins away and so were the shops. We booked a triple room, so it was quite roomy. Unlike most Venetian hotel, the decor was modern with a touch of Venetian style with plenty of windows. The bathroom was also spacious and looked new. The room was very clean. However, I was not fond of the bed, it was too soft and felt like you were swallowed by it. Breakfast was adequate with some cold cuts, bread, croissants, cereals, youghurt, fruits and coffee/tea. Unfortunately breakfast was served between 8 to 10 am only. The lady who served us coffee at breakfast was very nice and friendly. She was such a gem. Pleasant stay
Stayed 4 nights here whilst visiting Venice and it was a superb hotel. Great location as a base for visiting all areas of the island, 5 minutes walk from St.Mark's sq. The room we booked was very nice looking out across the canal with plenty of space and very clean. Staff could not have been more helpful from the moment we arrived to leaving. The breakfast was also very nice and relaxing great coffee too! Thank you
Positives; excellent location only 5 minutes walk from St.Marks. Very clean rooms. Negatives:The room we got was on the ground floor and the door opened directly onto the lobby which was a bit strange. The room was quite small and dark (especially for the price). If booking I would definitely request a room on the upper floors. The breakfast was extremely poor. Also asked for an iron one of the nights and they didn't have one at all which I thought was odd for a 4 star hotel.
This was my first trip to Venice, I was a little bit disappointed when I arrived in front of the hotel ... However, all my disappointment vanished and turned to extreme satisfaction and excitement the moment I entered the hotel - Stuff were helpful, cheerful, friendly and professional - Room was very spacious with good furniture - Excellent location less than 5 minutes from St Zaccaria and St. Mark water bus stations and very near St. Mark square, St. Mark Basilica and Doge Palace - Hotel offered to keep our baby stroller in the reception to save us the hassle bringing it up/down to/from our room every time we go out - Breakfast was very basic with little varieties (This was Ok for us) I would definitely recommend and come back again if possible
I had expected more concidering title Junior suite and price 1400 Euros for three nights! Nice and central location. Nice view to the channels from the balcony (with no space for a single chair). Comfortabe beds and a nice bathroom with whirlpool. No sitting group, no sofa, no comfortable chairs, on the other hand an extra room with two extra beds we as a couple did not need. No coffee in the room ("we don't have coffee in the rooms!" shouted grumpy man in the reception). But tea and a kettle. The breakfast fits a hospice, very limited selection of ingredients. But an intimate og cozy small saloon. I take into account that the other rooms at this hotel might fit the price better.
