We were traveling from Austria to Greece. And had to catch the Patras ferry in Venice. The location of the hotel is ideal, right from the highway on a big roundabout. If you miss it just make another turn. Parking is on the hotel site. The hotel offers shuttles into Venice centre and also to the airport or ferryport. So don't bother about Italian traffic. The hotel was nice with friendly Staff and good prices. Very nice breakfast with great a variety choice. We will go back on our return trip.
My family and I stayed here for one night as we had a early train to catch in the morning. We stayed here because it was a IHG hotel and seemed to be very clean and updated , hence we were right!!! The staff was the best part they took care of us from check in and check out and breakfast was great!!! Would consider staying here again if I ever travel to Italy again!!
We stayed here as a family of four for four nights on a trip to Venice before heading across Italy. The hotel was clean and staff polite. No family rooms meant two rooms were needed for myself, husband and two children aged 12 and 6. Stayed out of town hoping it would be quieter than the hustle and bustle of Venice centre. Unfortunately due to multiple tour groups arriving late/leaving early sleep was very difficult, taking well over an hour to get the little one to sleep due to noise, only to be woken extremely early the next morning by people banging around in the room above. The 'shuttle bus' in to Venice is convenient but expensive, when, if you take a walk to mestre train station (25 minutes approx) you can get a train for 1.25€ each way, and leads you through the street market when it's on. Alternatively, if you buy the 24/48/72h acts waterbus passes to take you out to the other islands then the buses from mestre are included. The gym equipment sold and tired and I he air con didn't seem to work at all, but it did the job of burning off the ice creams ;)
Rooms are rundown, shabby and old desperately in need of updating. Bathroom was old and grubby, just a trickle of water from the shower and half the bathroom door handle was missing! We didnt expect 5 star experience but come on!!! Breakfast was below average, cold and very low quality food. Complained about this when checking out and the receptionist (Danielle) was very rude pulling her face and stating it was American style breakfast!! Im sure any Americans tasting such low quality rubbish would be extremely insulted by this comment. Only good thing about this hotel was the shuttle bus into Venice at only 10 euros per person.
Really enjoy my stay here for 2 nights, hotel provide shuttle bus to go to the villa which very convenient, however we just got stuck from the airport to hotel. We enjoy dinner at hotel restaurant and their Tuna Piazza is very nice and big portion and of cause value for money.
A nice Holiday Inn with a complimentary minibus service into Venice. The Hotel was well looked after and the food (a buffet on our first night) was very good indeed. The bar area was very nice although a little expensive. The noise from the beer garden was terrible. I ignored this the first night as I thought it was the end of a conference with high spirits. However, when it happened again the next night I complained to reception and asked to be moved to a quieter room. They said another room was not possible but that they would sort out the noise. They didn't. It was the same the third night. I think it would be worthwhile closing the outdoor bar area at, say, 0100 to allow those in nearby rooms to get some sleep. Really disappointed as Holiday Inn are usually great.
During our summer break, we stayed at Holiday Inn Venice for two nights (four people / two rooms). We had great time. The hotel is very clean and offers shuttle to Venice (15 mins away) on a fee, although for the night we used the taxi (~25 euro per way) to have flexibility. The staff is very helpful and tried their best to let us feel really home. Special thanks to Ms Emma and Ms Elisa. You helped us a lot !! To all people at the hotel, thank you really very much for everything !
Nice hotel, clean and tidy but be ready to travel at least 20min bus to the Venice transfer area. Lovely staff and a nice typical European breakfast. Good value for the price so keep that in mind as accommodation actually IN Venice can be on the higher end.
If you travel to Venice and dont want to spend too much money in hotels on the island this hotel is quite good option. Its location is in Mestre and is about 20mins by bus from the island of Venice. The bus stop is number 6 and is about 800m from the hotel and you dont need to change to go to main bus station in Venice. The hotel is clean and has comfortable rooms. Only its staff sometimes doesnt understand english especially when you call them from the room. You can easily find it when travelling by car. The biggest disadvantage of the hotel is parking. They charge 10EUR for one day. If you dont want to pay that money you can park your car for free on few parking places of the opposite petrol station(which I did) or you can park your car in nearby street named Via della fonte which is just behind the hotel.
Have stayed in quite a few holiday innes and this one is not the best. Asked for upgrade as my partner is spire elite and the room we were given was average at best. No bath only shower no little extras like water (considering the heat) and towelling robes only little things but make a difference. Staff ok apart from one woman on front desk who was not at all helpful when trying to sort out directions and transport to railway station. This hotel is miles away from Venice and if you book the hotels bus it's at a cost. There are no direct bus routes so unless you want a taxi no alternative. The hotel is situated on a main rd with a petrol station right in front of it ( not shown in any photos) Not the romantic venice I was hoping for would not use again.
