This hotel is very old but well maintained and features settings in line with the area in which it is located. Staff are extremely helpful but as with a lot of hotels in Italy there are no room facilities for tea/coffee. Central to shopping area and numerous restaurants. Well worth a visit.
The location of this hotel is excellent. Very near to shopping and restaurants, and a short walk to the pier, while still being quiet. The decor and atmosphere are upscale. The room was quiet other than we were able to hear people moving around upstairs very clearly. In general the room was pretty old. The beds were of the spring variety and not very comfortable. All of the outlets were the older style (thin prongs) so we couldn’t use most of our adaptors. The room was small, as were the bathroom and shower. I probably wouldn’t pick this hotel unless wasn’t fussy about the room and wanted a great location.
Lovely Lido, lovely hotel. Beautifully maintained exterior and grounds, old world charm inside. The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is sumptuous and served in a cheery dining area. The rooms aren't luxurious but comfortable and clean. Convenient location.
Stayed here as part of a tour, beautiful exterior of the hotel, and dining room was gorgeous. Good buffet breakfast selection. Nice location, close to everything. The room was clean, and functional, although not as fancy as the outside.
I stayed at the Lido to visit the Venice Biennale. With the frequent water taxis the location was very convenient. The hotel is one hundred years old and has a nice character with lots of pictures. There are also Tango milongas on Wednesdays in summer. I did not have breakfast in the hotel as there are plenty of cafes around the hotel. There are also quite a few decent restaurants in the vicinity. There is also a coop supermarket, post office and self service launderette close by. I tried the in house restaurant Artemisia on my last night. Although the food was good, the service was extremely slow. A forty-five minute meal took almost two hours. They also have a Thai spa in the basement. Quite a novelty and good if you need a massage. A bit overpriced. The hotel is good value for money with a decent online deal,
Charming hotel and probably the biggest and most beautiful on Lido island. We personally prefer Lido to others, especially the oh so crowded San Marco Square Venice which is only 15 minutes away by water bus. And the price is reasonable here for every thing. Room is small for U.S standard but come on you're not here to stay in your room so it doesn't matter. It still is a very quaint and unique. Grand as the name is. Staff is very friendly, professional and so helpful. The front desk lady name Bianca was so sweet and friendly when we checked in, made us feel welcome and did I mention she is lovely and pretty as well? Prime location and gorgeous exterior. Walking distance to every thing and so close to the water transportation station. Hotel rate is reasonable with breakfast included as well. Very happy with our stay. Definitely will stay here again when we come back next time. I highly recommend this hotel.
I was with a tour group (Trafalgar) and had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel. The location was perfect for restaurants and shops and the water taxis. It is located in a quiet area. The room was very nicely decorated. I look forward to returning!!!!!
A beautiful property! Our room was great, great views over the canal to Venice. Wonderful location. My son was sad as there is no pool, but who needs a pool when you can walk to the beach? The food and cocktails here were good, the people were great! I would stay here again in a heart beat!
The hotel is unique and very clean, central location in the beautiful and cosy lido of Venice with easy access to central Venice by boat. Nice service and we had a huge choice for breakfast, it is was delicious too.
Beautiful hotel, friendly and very attentive staff. Nice location to walk to beach ,dining and shops.Easy walk to watch the sunset.Wide sidewalks. Accommodations were clean very comfortable, waiters in dining room were very sweet and paid attention to diners needs. We will stay again without hesitation.
