The hotel is very charming inside and out. Had problems with one of the old elevators but there were more. The rooms and bathroom are small but with the age of the hotel that is expected. The rooms were actually very quiet. The food was average, the service a bit slow. The front desk was quick and friendly. Great location with shopping and food close by. Quick walk to water taxi and short ride to Venice.

The meal was fantastic, served on the patio of this amazing looking hotel. The service was superb as was the food. The hotel itself, therefore the toilets etc, was quite tired. The first course was a very delicate Shrimp flan with a Prosecco and shallot reduction, very nice. Second course a seafood Lasagne which was main course size. The third course was Salmon in a herb crust which was excellent. All finished of with an eggnog parfait, great !

Charming hotel; great location on Lido Island far from the maddening crowds in Venice. Go out of the hotel and beautiful, safe walks to fine restaurants and even short walk to Adriatic Sea and many shops, lots of gelato too. One of my favorite hotels on the tour. Old world décor with lots of antiques in the rooms.

We’d walked past this hotel on a previous holiday and I’d loved the amazing Liberty style decor on the exterior, so decided to give it a try on this trip. I was not disappointed. The welcome was warm and all the staff so friendly and incredibly helpful. The room & ensuite was clean, well maintained and very comfortable. I was worried about the bed after seeing comments in previous reviews but needn’t have been. It was a firm mattress but as it was (I think) memory foam it was incredibly comfortable and I slept really well. We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered to the room within minutes There was plenty of choice at breakfast from cereal to bacon & hotdog sausage, boiled & scrambled eggs, cold meats & cheese to croissants & cake. And for someone like me who tries to be healthy, even on holiday, there was fruit including pineapple, kiwi, plums and apples. All of it tasty and available until 10am so no need to get up at the crack of dawn. Even though there were coach parties staying at the same time, so the hotel was busy, we weren’t bothered by any noise. We were told the hotel is working towards becoming five star by 2019 so I’m glad I got the chance to stay while it is still in my price range but I really do wish them well with their plans. The staff work hard so I don’t doubt they’ll do it. If you want ultra modern and trendy then this isn’t the hotel for you but if you like quirky little touches that are faithful to the building’s history then you’ll love this place. I did!

Most don't think of staying on the Lido island, but I found it a hidden treasure. It was a nice alternative to staying on Venice island and transportation to and from Lido is very convenient. Very charming traditional Venetian accommodations and a very friendly and courteous staff. Wonderful breakfast included.

Was a really charming hotel was so close to waterbus to San Marco+everywhere hotel staff were really friendly+most helpful rooms were very good huge selection for breakfast we was content we chose that hotel+would certainly stay again

This hotel was easily my favourite of the hotels we stayed in during our stay in Italy. The barman was amazing; such a lovely man and so knowledgeable and professional. All the staff was friendly and efficient. We had a lovely stay. Thank you 😊

After a night in a three star very mediocre hotel in San Marco I had real hesitations about staying in Lido but the reviews were good and the hotel had some great deals. We were fortunate to be upgraded from the basic room and had a beautiful room with lovely and tasteful Art Deco furniture. The staff were charming. The room impeccably clean and the general atmosphere welcoming and serene. I used the Turkish Bath and sauna which was extremely pleasant after long day in Venice. Perhaps the breakfast could be better presented and more in line with the general tastefulness of the hotel. It is not often that the place is much better than the pictures but this is definitely the case here. Lido is fun and we had a wonderful 2 hour bike ride on a tandem. Nice change of rhythm from the crowds. Highly recommend.

Hotel it's beautiful inside and out, Elevator are small and slow, but the rooms are clean and cozy Staff it's friendly, especially a tall guy at the front desk and the bartender in the outside patio I'll definitely go back

This is a grand hotel, decorated both outside and in. We stayed here for 2 nights during a tour of Italy with Trafalgar. I would have given this hotel a 4-star review but reduced it to a 3 because on our first morning here they shoved two 50 people groups into a single room. When we got there, much of the food was already gone. And because there were ten tables for 10, it was near impossible to find seats together with our travel companions. For conveniences the room had a TV, locking mini fridge, in-room safe, and a hair blow dryer. The bathtub had attachments to use as a shower. However, there was no microwave, no hot pot nor coffee maker.
