AC broke & we had to move to the hotel across

We were supposed to stay at this hotel for 3 nights.We booked at this hotel knowing that they have an elevator since we have luggages but on our first night the AC in our side of hotel including 4 other rooms broke. We were told this was the first time this happens but I read in a previous review that it had already happened in the past. They were not able to fix it so they moved us 1145pm to their other hotel across & we had to pack our stuff again after we got settled.They placed us on a 3rd floor & there was no elevator. One of the staff did help us bring it up to our room in which we were grateful.The hotel room where they transferred us was a okay but was bit older & not as modern looking like what I initially booked. The room was clean & had the basics.We still had our breakfast every morning at the initial hotel where it has a decent spread of breakfast with hot options & good pastries. The frontdesk staff were nice. The hotel location is very close to the train station, vaporetto stop, groceries & lots of good restaurants & that was the main reason we chose the hotel. They allowed us to leave our luggages with them since we arrived early on our first day although they did not have a storage room for the luggages & our luggagaes were only left at reception area in which I was hesitant initially but we just made sure they were locked. Anyway, we did not have any choice since we wanted to eat lunch & explore first since we arrived earlier than the 2pm check-in.

A Terrible Hotel in Venice

The hotel is located in area that provides the old Venice Experience and it is close to a lot of shops and restaurants. However, there are likely much better options to stay. We paid on arrival for 4 nights. The service and infrastructure at this hotel is absolute terrible. There is no ice. They said their ice machine was broken. The air conditioning started dripping water on the floor on our second night. We informed them that night. They said they could do anything that night but give some extra towels. The next morning, as we were leaving out, the front desk attendant said he would take a look. When we returned, the A/C was still dripping water on the floor. They didn’t even leave a note about it. We told a different front desk attendant and she said that her colleague had told her that it was leaking. She offered more towels and a frown. I told her that the wet floor posed a safety hazard. They never fixed it or offered another room. The bathroom had a heavy sewage smell in the morning and anytime we were away for a while. I had to run water in the sink to help mitigate the smell. It seemed like water dissipates or leaks from their P-trap and the sewer gas vent in to the room. The tub had a high profile and no grab bars to facilitate getting in and out. Plus, the tub was slippery, because it had nothing on the bottom to facilitate slip prevention. The breakfast is not very good and they want you to schedule it.

Loved the hotel and location. I had encounters w/ 3 front desk staff. Very tall man with clear glass frames and slender lady went above and beyond treating guests w/ kindness and a smile. They both have me directions looked at a map and mapped out my route. Maggior is lucky to have them on staff. I had a negative encounter with dark receding hairline gentleman twice . He was very rude and acted as if he really dislikes people in general. I watched him speak rudely to people 2 of the 3 days of his stay. I asked him for help twice and he looked up from the desk didn’t acknowledge my presence and kept doing paperwork. The lady that prepared the morning breakfast was very sweet and kind. Hotel is in great location. The housekeeping lady was also very warm and inviting. She would smile and say hello. They need to retrain the dark hair receding hairline guy that was working 9/6/2025 at 6:00 AM or give him a job with no access to guests. He said his name was Antonio but many rude people lie about their name. Employees should wear name tags. This guy doesn’t like customer service.

Close to transportation. Very nice staffs. A lot of places to dine. Breakfast is good. Room is nice and clean. Shower is a little small though and air condition is sometimes not too cold. Overall it was a very nice stay. I would recommend.

It’s close to the train station and clean. The room was very dark and opened to a shaft. It was very comfortable, the bed was amazing. Shower was nice. I’d just say the lighting was bad and so the black out curtains made it hard to wake up. Breakfast was good! But I was sad it was a coffee machine. Staff were helpful! There aren’t any special amenities but if you want a super clean room, this is it! Price is prob average for comparable rooms in Venice.

Good, Location very convenient

We had a good time at the hotel. Only issues were the bathtub/shower not draining at all, and to get the air conditioning working you had to call the front desk for them to turn it on. Breakfast was also underwhelming. On the plus side, location was convenient to train and water taxi stations, bed was comfy and the blackout shades were nice after a long day of travel, but i’m not sure we’d stay here again.

Good stay for a short break

Our stay at this hotel was lovely, the rooms were compact but fine for what you need in Venice as we spent most of the time exploring. The location is fabulous and easy walking distance to most of Venice with restaurants and shops on the door step. The breakfast wasn’t great, options weren’t amazing but it done for a light bite in the morning before exploring. Staff were nice. Our only problem was that there were some ants in our bathroom which seemed to be coming out of the door frame. As we were only there for 2 days we didn’t bother complaining about this and the rest of the bedroom was clean. I would imagine in an older city filled with water this is something that can be hard to avoid
