Dorsoduro is a great area to start exploring the city. Most of the important museums (Peggy Guggenheim collection, Gallerie dell’Accademia, Punta della Dogana – François Pinault Foundation) and churches (Basilica dei Frari, Madonna della Salute) are here. Close to the apartment one of the top must-see: the Squero di San Trovaso, a still-functioning workshop for the manufacture of gondolas, the last of its kind.



Don’t miss the chance to enjoy the Zattere promenade with a good ice-cream or to taste the local food in the characteristic restaurants of the surroundings. Local shops and supermarkets are close and esay to find.

Incredible view of the canal. Worth it to book just for that. Location was perfect. Very short walk to the vaporetto station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Away from tourist areas - very chill. Apartment was huge. Separate tub and shower was convenient. Property was on the top floor and there is an elevator, however it is very tiny (maybe fits two people max). So if you are claustrophobic, be ready for a lot of stairs.
