Wedgewood Hotel & Spa

It is a very nice boutique hotel which I had always wanted to stay while in Vanvouver. Check in and staff was excellent. Just one minor note: the housekeeping forgot to make up my room and I was out for 7 hours. They came up right away when I informed of the situation.

Vancover is great city and this downtown location is exceptional.

Great Hotel, we enjoyed staying down town in this hotel.everything was good.

My husband and I traveled for three weeks from June 30 to July 16, 2015 through the Pacific Northwest and ended up in Vancouver on the last leg. During our trip we stayed at seven different hotels, all luxury boutique or unique hotels, and Wedgewood Hotel was, without a doubt, superior to any of the others. Every single service person we dealt with--from bellmen to doormen to front desk staff to housekeepers to waiters to the incredible concierge, Curtis--treated us like royalty. My husband and I aren't rich--we are a school teacher and social worker, and we saved for this trip of a lifetime--but we were made to feel like we were the most important people in the world at Wedgewood. From the welcome gift of a box of Belgian chocolates to incredible help getting tickets to The Lion King in town at the Queen Elizabeth Theater to solid recommendations for dinners and activities, the staff was amazing. Smack in the middle of downtown, the hotel is close enough that we were able to walk to Stanley Park, Yaletown, Granville Island, Gastown and to find amazing food nearby (and the hotel food was great, too). If we ever get the chance to return, we will definitely stay here again. The rooms were quiet and very, very comfortable (turn down service nightly included homemade cookies). As I ate yet another delicious breakfast from room service while lounging in my fluffy hotel robe, I said more than once, This is the life!

The location of this hotel is excellent -- right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, just a short walk to restaurants and Canada Place/Convention Center. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and lobby area. Daily newspaper and turn-down service are nice extras. A great value. I will definitely return!

Great location and luxury stay. We have stayed here twice now and will keep coming back

Really enjoyed our stay here. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return to his hotel and will become our default for Vancouver!

I usually stay at the Four Seasons or the Bayshore but I have always wanted to try the Wedgewood for something new. I was impressed before I stepped in the hotel. Valet was punctual and courteous. Check in was quick. The room was perfect and we loved having a large private balcony! Room service was prompt and not overpriced! Dining downstairs is a must!! The location is perfect for shopping on Robson St, visiting the Art Museum or discovering a new restaurant. There is so much to do and see close by. The hotel provides an umbrella in your room so no worries if it is raining. The staff was amazing and for all these reasons we will be back very soon to enjoy staying at the Wedgewood again

Great hotel. Room a lilttle smaller than anticipated, but otherwise great. Staff is excellent. Bar is fantastic

I was honestly very shocked with the service and the demeanor of the staff when I first checked into the hotel. The front desk was super friendly and very accomodating when we had an extra guest stay with us. Usually with most of the hotels I stay at once I check in, we're usually left alone. However at the Wedgewood, I had the staff come by twice, once to drop off extra towels, bathrobes, toiletries etc. without me asking, and the second time to drop off some extra chocolate. The location is pretty good not directly at the waterfront but in the middle of downtown and close to Robson Street with all the shopping. I would highly recommend anyone who is considering staying at this hotel to definitely book it.

The Wedgewood Hotel& Spa is perfectly located for a visit to Vancouver. The staff is extremely helpful.

My credit card had difficulty the first time they ran it (I was traveling out-of-country), and the front desk staff told me to go ahead and settle in, then come back down to resolve the issue. The awesome professional cleaning staff neatly placed all my strewn jewelry in a small dish by the sink, and first pulled up the sink stopper so nothing fell down the drain accidentally. Love the attention to detail. Doorman/valets were friendly. Turndown service included two cookies and a couple of bottles of water every night. The Executive Queen room was quite small, the heating vents were less than ideally placed, and the price is normally fairly high (although in-line with boutique hotel prices in the area), no free parking, and the parking is valet, which means no quick in & out for sightseeing. What really made this hotel stand out were the fantastic staff. They exhibited all the qualities you look for in a relaxing stay: courteous, friendly, efficient, and accommodating. We didn't try the spa services, or the restaurant (too many other things to see in Vancouver!), but the location is fantastic. You can walk to everything around downtown, and easily bus to the West End, if you don't feel like a bit of a hike. Tons of shops and restaurants within a dozen blocks, and the couple of block radius around the hotel felt very safe (half-dozen blocks in one direction late at night gets skeevy). Check your map and online to make sure you're not headed off towards a bad area if you walk late at night.
