Had a short 3 night stay here last weekend, and were pleased with the hotel, but disappointed in the attitude of the manager towards his paying guests. There was a mis-communication about the food availabilty for 2 out of 3 of the nights of our stay, and we therefore had to make alternative arrangements at short notice, and some of the elderly guests from our coach party had to retire to their room with no food. Although we were on a bed & breakfast tarriff we had assumed we would be able to buy an evening meal from the menu, which we did do on the night of our arrival. However, on the second & third night of our stay we discovered that the a-la-carte menu was not available, but had been changed to a pre-bookable buffet due to the high volume of guests over that period. When we returned from our all day coach tour we were turned away from the restaurant & told by the manager there was no food available to us, and his tone was quite rude & unhelpful. We also discovered at that point that the bookings for the following evening were already full too. As the hotel is situated in a remote location we asked the receptionist if there was anywhere to eat nearby & she kindly directed us to a Chinese restaurant, which was a fair walk, but it was better than nothing. Whether the fault was with the hotel or the coach driver (due to the message not being relayed to us about the evening meals) we are not completely sure, but the manager could at least have been a bit less rude, and a bit more helpful. I'm sure the chef could have russled up an omellette or similar snack at the very least under the circumstances! We have never stayed in a hotel before where there is no food available. It would have been more helpful too if notices were put up near the restaurant area advising guests about the changes to the food situation, as the same menus (with room service advertised) are also placed in the guest's rooms, so it is very mis-leading. Aside from the misunderstanding about the food & the manager's attitude - the hotel itself was fine. The rooms were clean & comfortable, nicely furbished and a good size, the rest of the staff were very friendly & helpful, and there is a comfortable & cosy bar, & seating area, both inside & out.

A fantastic break and a wonderful hotel to stay in. It was clean, warm, friendly and the food was plentiful and tasty. The water was hot with good pressure, the beds were comfy and the view from the window was of a little canal with ducks and moorhens on it. Wonderful.

This hotel is way better than expected. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds. Large bathroom with bath and a great shower. The hotel is decorated very nice and has a spacious feel about it. We didn't use the spa facilities - but looked lovely. Breakfast was great with hams, bread, fruit, eggs, bacon - all what you would expect - and something for everyone I am sure. Would definitely use this place again. Located an hour from Amsterdam one way - and an hour from Keukenhof Gardens the other way. Give it a go - you wont be disappointed.

When you walk inside this hotel you feel like in a beautiful mountain resort. Outdoor balconies on every room, green lawns and fresh air. You feel completely calm and relaxed. They offer free minibar in the room. The rooms are impecably clean and recently renovated, everything smells new and clean.

I enjoyed during my stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and staff were very kindly. But there is nothing to do near by hotel, so if the purpose of visit is net for business so well but if is not is very big problem you need car or taxi or bus to reach to the city.

Here for two nights on business this place does feel a little old fashioned. It has all the amenities you'd expect but perhaps not as sharp as the name and ratings suggest My initial experience was terrible - hence the lower rating. By chance I was caught behind a group of German doctors (here for a conference) and only one poor lady behind the desk trying to sort out their keys, car parking, taxis, early morning calls etc. It wasn't the receptionists fault (she was working quickly and efficiently) nor was it the fault of the Medic group they needed to checkin. It was the fault of the process and the management who didn't come to help. There was a chap in a suit who was busying himself around the place, talking to staff, redistributing bits of paper etc - but he effectively watched from the sidelines as my frustration grew. It took 30 minutes to get my key. My room was reasonable - bit noisy from the road and on one night from peple in the bar but comfy bed, big tv, good shower etc. Breakfast was buffet style - bit boring but a reasonable range. For me it was convenient for the office and so I would consider staying here again but if that wasn't a consideration - and considering the 140euro per night price tag - there are better

We just came back from our all-in 3-day deal at the Carlton president. Whilst staying in a deluxe room with king size bed, rain shower and mini bar, we were treated with breakfast, one lunch and two 2-course dinners with a free bottle of wine. We also got 3 drinks each and off course free use of the swimming pool and sauna. We wanted a care free weekend and that’s definitely what we got. The food was good and plenty, the staff very pleasant and room superb. This hotel might not be in the city center but gives such good value for money that it’s worth to check out.

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the last few years due to the proximity to my company offices, but have always been disappointed with the tired appearance and quality of the rooms. The Hotel has recently undertaken a total refurbishment and WOW, what a difference this has made: a real transformation. The rooms are now finished to a very good standard. The food in the restaurant is good, if not a little expensive, although the choice could be wider. There is a small, but sufficiently equipped gymnasium to help de-stress at the end of the working day.

I stayed here for a long weekend in connection with a music festival held in the city centre. The hotel is located outside of the city proper but there is a bus station not far from the hotel where you can catch a bus that will take you into the centre within 20 mins. The bus time table is punctual and well frequented so there’s almost no need to pay €25+ to get into town. The hotel is located in a bit of an industrial area so there’s not a lot to see or do in the immediate surrounds but it does means it has an enormous car park and the hotel itself is a sprawling building with many rooms, a spa, gym, sauna, business centre, bar and large dining area. The staff throughout were exceptional, some of the friendliest I’ve come across, nothing was too much bother and we were always greeted with a friendly smile. The rooms were decently sized and appointed but if there is one thing I’d fault, I’d say that the hotel is beginning to look and feel a little dated. The shower area in the spa area was a little mouldy and we had water marks on the room ceiling. The furniture and bathrooms would need renovating soon, if the hotel wants to trade as a 4 Star hotel. It looks like renovation works are underway already so it seems this problem has been identified. Breakfast was plentiful with a varied choice and good timings, esp on the Sunday after the music festival when they even extended the opening times to accommodate all the party people that were staying there (most of the hotel). The all room dining menu was good too and we had a couple of really enjoyable dinners in their cafe. All in all the hotel is good value for money and I’d recommend it.

The room was itself was nice and newly refurbished. The leisure facilities were excellent, as always and the staff were helpful. Large areas of the hotel were very visibly undergoing renovation, with no carpets etc. Didn't use the restaurant this time but have in the past and it is excellent.
