This is a really comfortable and clean hotel with superb staff who go out of their way to be as helpful and friendly as possible. My wife and I have stayed there on several occasions and are always very impressed with the staff both on reception and in the restaurant.

Stayed 2 nights in Mercure hotel in February. First impression about the location of the hotel was not very positive as it looked like some back alley in industrial suburban area. All the parking lots in front of the hotel were full and then some so I had to park illegally to check in. Fortunately after check-in I learned there are two parking garages; one in the cellar of the same building and another 50 meters away in another building. The check-in was easy, hotel looks new enough and is clean. Room was basic but good. I could have used an additional pillow in the bed because there was only one. The "gym" downstairs was very small, basically a treadmill, a stepper and an exercise bicycle in addition to couple lightweight dumbbels. The sauna area was nice and good looking with a lounge area offering tea and fruits, steam sauna, infrared sauna and another that looked like a Finnish sauna but was missing the kiuas and was not warm enough for my taste. Walking distance to the Regensburg old city center was maybe 4 kilometers one direction but the city center is certainly worth visiting. In February when temperature was -10°C you might want to use a car or bus though.

From check in thru out, service was excellent, enjoyed the conversation in the bar afterhours, and the breakfast was fantastic... I will return to this hotel the next time I have business in Regensburg...

Excellent hotel with very friendly, helpful staff and great facilities. Brand new, nicely designed rooms. The restaurant served delicious local specialities and local beers, the breakfast was a dream. Stronly recommended hotel.

Hotel was very nice. Room and food were perfect. So does service in the restaurant. Only negative point was the lack of hostess for the check out. Only one person at 8 am (rush hour), so the waiting line got us late for appointement. Otherwise, fine for a business trip.

Wonderful commendation service and food . We have stayed there often and will continue to choose this hotel when in Regensburg . The girl on the welcome desk was very unfriendly and unhelpful ,though we did have a breakthrough in the end with her. Quite a disappointing welcome for a hotel of this standard .

The room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff was very helpful (front desk, cleaning, and restaurant). While the location is a good distance from the city center, the bus stops on the cross street right next to the hotel. For 5 euro two people can ride the bus for multiple trips in the day. Everyone was helpful in setting us on the correct bus. I had made my reservation months in advance, so it was a good price, but, the penalty is that when we changed plans and did not stay the last night, we only had a refund of 5 euros.

As a gold member of Accor, I chose this hotel as my stay in Regensburg, I was expecting a warm welcoming from hotel. However, the only thing waiting for me was a cold and inpatient staff. The hotel is quite remote, if you plan for a visit for the city center by foot, this is not a good option for you. Breakfast is really German style, although the major guests are German, the choices are still too limited.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location a taxi ride away from the centre. It is modern and clean and comfortable. There is a some free parking right by the hotel. Check in was painless and efficient. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The hotel is more of a business style hotel rather than one of charm, but provides well enough. There is a modern bar with large screen TV's showing the football. The dining room is also quite stark and modern. The menu is very acceptable and the staff were very accommodating with our meal as we were close to kitchen closing time. It is a fine hotel for a stop over, but probably not as good if you are intent on seeing the city sights

I have given this hotel a good review some time ago and was looking forward to staying here again. The room was very nice but we were very disappointed when we told that we could not have dinner at the hotel because we had not made a reservation in advance, something we were not at all informed about when checking in. There are no restaurants nearby. Room service took a long time! Free parking and a bus stop nearby.
