Good place to stay for a quick overnight. Very friendly crew and helpful people. Several close by restaurants - fast food and a couple chains. A little noisy from road noise if you are on that side of the building, but not enough to disturb my sleep. Bed was very comfortable. I had a few maintenance issues including a broken desk chair, a non working telephone and the microwave spinner didn't' spin. Got the new chair in a jiff, so they had no issues reacting quickly. Breakfast was meh - nothing special, nothing upgraded... usual basic Fairfield Breakfast, which I rarely see anymore as most have upgraded their variety. All and all, just fine and excellent value.
The hotel was in an area with many other hotels around and a coffee shop nearby. Right off the highway, but not noisy. Marriott beds are always the most comfortable for me. I slept very well and stayed there for three nights. The staff around the clock was very friendly and always eager to help. Breakfast was the standard fare of hot and cold cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, juices, milk 2% and fat-free, yogurts, boiled eggs, and waffle mix for the cook-your-own waffles with a good assortment of toppings. The room was clean, well-lighted and a good size. I don't watch tv so can't comment on the programming. The first night I was there I was concerned about noise because there was a huge soccer tournament in town and kids and soccer moms and dads were roaming the halls. By 9 PM everyone had settled down and I didn't hear anymore noise. If they hadn't settled down this could have been a problem because the walls were not soundproof, but I got the impression that a call to the front desk would have caused them to take action to quiet it. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. When we left, Betty, the morning manager, said she would miss us and made us feel important.
At check in I was greeted by a friendly upbeat front desk person. It was refreshing since I was checking in late with kids in tow and I was exhausted from my drive. The next morning with the kids we went down to breakfast and before we could turn the corner to the breakfast area we were greeted by Charlene. She was the front desk person and wanted to make sure our evening stay was ok. Breakfast was amazing. No one complained about anything since there were so many choices for breakfast everyone was happy. We had choices of scrambled eggs, cheese omelets, hard boiled eggs, french toast, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, various dairy products. It was refreshing not to hear any complaining about breakfast and no trip to McDonalds. Charlene came by to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Upon check out Charlene wished us well. Thank you Fairfield and Charlene for a truly refreshing stay.
The hotel was an average hotel. In a nutshell. Not too clean and not too dirty. Very basic and fine for a night stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room needed a good cleaning and there was a party a few doors down that was loud.
The first time we stayed my mother inlaw paid through Orbitz, but the hotel mistakenly charged my credit that I gave for accidentals for the price of the room again. I had to wait five days to be refunded. Our room smelled like mold which wasn't very pleasant. Our second visit the towel rack fell off the wall and the breakfast was terrible. Cold eggs and had to ask the staff to fill the waffle batter machine and bring more bacon out. The cantaloupe tasted rotten. We were also let down that the hot tub had no water in it.
I travel a lot, typically I stay at a Marriott affiliated hotel and I have to say this one is probably the BEST. The general manager Gary takes amazing care of his guests. He took the time to remember my name and even noticed I'd work out every morning and bring me a cold bottle of water. The entire staff was a GREAT and the hotel is clean. I highly recommend staying at the awesome hotel.
Upon checking in last night, Betty was so concerned about making sure we had our extra pillows and blanket request. She felt bad that they were not in our room waiting for us. I had only requested them an hour earlier, so I completely understood, but her concern was genuine. This morning at checkout, there was Betty once again, making sure we had an enjoyable stay. Fairfield Inn is very lucky to have such a caring employee. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean, a special thanks to the maid service and maintenance department for keeping up on the care. You can tell the Management take pride in their property.
Overall a standard stay.. We stopped here as a place to crash and get some sleep.. Everyone is really nice as we checked in and out.. Room was standard for a Fairfield Inn. Easy on and off the Interstate. Plenty of food options nearby..
Kudos and great job with service delivery to all staff at this location. The staff welcomes you with great big smiles and really makes you feel at home. Clean rooms, lobby and other areas on and around the property are very well appointed and maintained. I was here for only one night, however these guys set standards really high. Watch out competition as these guys are great!! Whenever I'm back in the area, won't stay anywhere else. Great job!!
Typical for a Fairfield. If you have stayed they are consistent across the states. Room was clean and relaxing. Area looks a little sketchy but had no problems with the moving truck staying in the parking lot. Only complaint would be the literally shoestring size bacon served for breakfast. Management should be embarrassed by this.
