We checked out and they still charged us for our 4 day stay will not refund our money!!! Not a safe place & the smoke was bad!!! We booked thru PRICELINE never again!!! Being trying for two months to get our money back & all they did was pass the buck!!!HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
Over all it was pleasant , friendly, shows signs of recently being up dated, I would recommend it!
i was switched rooms 3 times due to first the TV than the air conditioning unit not working then just the room not feeling safe
If you look at my review history I’m a big believer in getting what you pay for, but there’s a problem with this place that goes beyond the moldy plaster and dated interior. A buddy of mine and I were in town for a fencing tournament and we checked in Friday night before going out for some beers. The gal at the front desk was clearly chatting on her phone, but hung it up as soon as we pulled in, I respect that kind of dicking around on the clock. She was very helpful, I booked through a site which meant everything was prepaid; ID, sign here, here’s your keys, super easy. She did say that we were only booked for a night, which we were supposed to be booked for two nights, but she corrected herself. The room was, well it was a $58 / night room in Tucson, Arizona. The interior was the finest brown you could pull from the ‘70s, they didn’t have a dish for the soap and shampoo they leave you, and the bathroom reeked of weed. The door was missing the “latch” part of the door latch, but whatever the property seemed safe enough. While we were out, friends who also were staying at the hotel had the same booking issue we came across. They were told to “check in again” in the morning, I figured I would roll by in the morning before heading to the tournament, scope out the free breakfast, and check on everything. This is where this place went from a “strong 3-stars” to something less. The breakfast sucked by the way, that’s not why the place is so weak, but just be aware it’s even below the already low standards of other “continental breakfasts”. After deciding to pass on the white bread and stale cereal I told the clerk at the front I just wanted to double check my reservation, and she helped me; her name was Sandra according to her name badge. This is when it got weird, she mentioned she needed a credit card on file, something Motel 6 and other hotels never ask for when I book through the site. She mentioned if I didn’t give my credit card the gal who helped me the night before would be fired… that seems harsh for some misplaced paperwork! I lied and told Sandra I didn’t have my card on me, she said not to worry about it; I’m super confused, is someone’s job on the line because she should be more worried if it is. Then she had me review the nonsmoking policy and sign that, and told me if I didn’t sign it SHE would be fired. “Who the heck is the manager of this place firing employees willynilly!?” I wondered. A lot of these places have placards with the managers, and Super 8 does as well. It was none other than Sandra! Sandra must take personal evaluation pretty seriously, or she was trying to hold me hostage with someone else’s job. I asked her if she was aware the bathroom reeked of weed in my nonsmoking room – she said she wasn’t. What really clinched it was later that night my keycard got demagnetized and I had to go get a new one. I rolled up, explained the situation to the clerk upfront and told her my room number. With a few keystrokes she got me a new keycard – without checking my ID. I thanked her anyways and went back to the room. Good thing these rooms have the deadbolt AND the door latch in case she decided to just give my room key to someone else oh wait… I’ll put up with a lot for a sanitary and cheap room. Lying managers and poor security isn’t one of them.
The room wasn't very clean and the carpet was dirty as walking on it made my socks black. The furniture was shabby and dated. The breakfast was poor just cereal and waffles. One day had no cereal.
I could not beathe with all the cigartte smoke and some awful smell of drugs I told the Front desk lady I was leaving she just rolled her eyes at me. It was 11 something pm that same night, that I had checked in at 3:30 pm. I left my pilliow there:-((
The room was clean, which is my top priority. However the WiFi never functioned and the room refrigerator would not cool.
Just okay, not bad but also not that great. Everything has a shabby feel, bathroom tub/shower had mold in the caulking. Breakfast was very sparse - not the 8 items advertised. Cleanliness ok, staff friendly. Decent location near U of A.
Bed Bugs, Roaches! Husband & 14 year old Grandson Bitten several times! Immediately left at 3:00 a.m. leaving our clothing we wore to bed in the Bathroom fear of carrying them home! Leaving the Room became even more Dangerous because of the activity in the Parking Lot, which looked like Gang and other suspicious activities! Have photos of the Bug infestation in the Beds! Pool was infested with Bird Droppings etc and closed! Nasty Nightmare place! Did contact Cust Care for Wyndham, No REFUND FROM THE Motel 8 yet although they were contacted several times by us and from Wyndham!
