Quality Inn Troy2.5 out of 5.0

I had two issues staying here, or they would have received a better rating. The first was that on making my reservation I requested a ground floor room. I'm not a fan of hauling luggage up flights of stairs. I ended up on the second floor. The second was there was no wifi. I did receive the usual password when checking in and that was it. No signal. The room was a bit dated but clean. Hopefully these are only minor glitches. We will see what happens the next time I travel through Troy.
The Room was Awesome! Had Luxury Not Expected for the Price! The Breakfast was Awesome And Lolinda Shaw was a Great Hostess ! The Desk Clerk was So Nice ,Polite & Friendly! The Beds were Comfy ....I Would Stay There Again!
Desk Clerk Khalil Jenkins was awesome - polite, friendly, and knowledgeable even though I arrived tired one night after a long drive. I've never stayed in Quality Inn so I thought it would be cheap, but the room was better than I expected. Breakfast was hot, but not very appetizing, but the room was inexpensive, so I didn't expect a feast. No meat on breakfast bar during the week. When I asked about meat, I was told by attendant that meat is part of breakfast only on the weekend. In conclusion, Kahlil should be commended by the company!
With the price we paid for this hotel we weren't expecting a luxury suite. The sign outside advertises comfy beds. Truthfully, the bed was comfy and there were many other reasons we were very satisfied with our visit. -The room was nice and spacious. There was good light. -The breakfast buffet is legit a full complimentary buffet - eggs, waffles, bagels, sausage and biscuits, danishes, etc etc. It was delicious. The attendants were very sweet. -The gentleman at the desk who took care of us - Kjenki - was patient, friendly, and funny. He made us feel right at home. He accommodated our requests and never made us feel we were troubling him. Truthfully, the entire staff was great. Next time I come to Troy I am hoping for the same room in the same hotel. Thanks for a memorable and wonderful visit.
We stayed here while in Troy for a football game. The room was ready when we arrived but the window and drapes were covered in stink bugs. Housekeeping was cleaning next door and had several doors open while they cleaned. As this is a Door to parking lot hotel the bugs were getting I to all the rooms they had open. We were moved to a different room. Clean but smelled musky.
Me and my family we were running away from Orlando, Fl. we drove more than 9 hours, exhausted and with no more options in the town or the nearest cities, specially because it was a FOOTBALL game day plus the massive evacuatione verything was sold out. Quality Inn gave me the option to reserve a room, with the condition that I had to wait a couple hrs to be cleaned and set up, happy for the asistence we wait and we took advance to have a fresh dinner after all. As their promise I came back and my room it was clean and ready, Not complain, nice tv, small bathroom, nice a/c, Microwave and Fridge, Free WIFI. The only thing that we looking for was for a safe place and at the end we had it. They gave us a good rate for Floridians residents with Breakfast included, I appreciate that. The Staff was very friendly and warm, always attent to keep clean all the areas. On tuesday morning at 3:40 a.m when we check out to our sorprise they are already set up a fresh brewed coffe, orange juice an their delicius and local breakfast with Scramble Eggs, Saussages and Biscuits... ah and of course my wife fav The Waffle!! After all we have a good times in family, we will never forget, thank you Quality Inn Team of TROY!
The hotel staff lied to guests telling multiple people they were getting the last room available and charged 30 dollars more. Then told them they were getting special evacuee rate and continued to charge even more than the advertised price online. gross.
Headed home and stayed here for one night. We were told that we were put in the remodeled area. Our room did have new drapes and looked like new bed covers, but I feel that the carpet needed to be replaced. I do understand what an expense it must be to keep these rooms updated. The pool is being remodeled (?) so don't plan on swimming. The marquee outside says 'cozy beds' and that they are.
The staff is nice, but this is what it is. It's a dated motor lodge. The room was comfortable enough although the bed squeaked with any movement. Luckily I'm a sound sleeper as is my daughter. Everything was fine, it was an inexpensive room for 1 night, but I wished I'd gone down to the Econolodge.
This has quickly become a "go-to" spot for us. We have business in the area and this hotel is so good and SO much more reasonable than others. The breakfast is great, the rooms we've had were clean and pleasant, the staff just couldn't be better. One young man actually ran after us with important papers we'd left behind after checking out. This kind of thing is rare and wonderful when one is travelling and without the routines and comforts of home. We look forward to every stay here and highly recommend it, hoping others will have a great experience too.
