Came to MI for a girls trip. Checked into this condo, which was clean and prepared for us. We entered and saw that while the online listing says the condo sleeps 9 people, it would be hard to sleep more than 6 comfortably. There is one queen bed, one pullout sofa (queen size), and a bunk bed (double size on top/bottom) - but there were only four of us so that was not an issue. The bathroom, a decent size, is basically one open room - including the open shower (no door or shower curtain). When we woke the next morning, the condo had unfortunately flooded. Water was coming in from all walls, with about an inch of water in the front half of the condo (this condo is underground, below the pizza shop). We called the host of this property, who said that we could relocate or they could clean the water and we could stay. We opted to stay since the relocation option would have taken us further from the ideal location, and were told the water would be cleaned up while we were out (kayak bike and brew, highly recommend). The flooding soaked one of my friends’ entire wardrobe and ruined my blow dryer. It derailed our entire morning. After returning from our trip, we requested partial or complete refund for the condo, but were told that since we contacted the host prior to contacting VRBO, it would be the hosts’ decision. This host declined to provide any refund or consolation, and did not seem at all regretful of the situation. Location of this condo is great, but would not recommend.
