This is a nice business hotel, with all the amenities that you would want; a nice, big room, comfy bed, good hot showers, very clean, a very professional staff, etc. But if you're in Metepec as a tourist to see this lovely Pueblo Magico, this place isn't for you. Located on a busy boulevard, over a kilometer from downtown Metepec, you're better off in a hotel downtown. But if you are here on business and don't care where you are located, you couldn't pick a nicer hotel
Not just for tourists. The spa has a great offer of treatments for your delight. Plus you receive in any treatment a great hydrotherapy sesion. The staff is great, you will feel like a king and queen.
Absolutely the most awesome hotel I have stayed in in many years. The service is five stars!Commendations five stars. I have stayed in hotel such as the Peninsula and Mandren Oriental Mandarin, JW Marriott and this hotel surpasses their service etc. My third time here I can tell you they are consistent I will only come to This hotel when coming to Toluca. Really I challenge anyone to find a hotel with better service.
In La Muralla they found the meaning of excellent service in all aspects, it is one of the best place that I know in where every single person is dedicated to serve with dedication and make your time a great experience. Congratulations to Jose Luis the General Manager.

I loved it! Great service, excellent accomodations. In this hotel , they found those specific details that make a customer to live a unique experience. Near the hotel are very nice places to visit.. don't miss to go the downtown. Ask for a taxi cabb to take you to buy the famous longaniza, cheese, etc.. it's only 5 min. from the hotel..
Stayed at Suites Inn La Muralla 8 nights for combined business and pleasure. Great service and super clean, modern 5-star hotel. Very large and comfortable rooms (Executive class) with large closets and roomy bathroom with extra large towels and fresh bathrobes every day. Lots of electric outlets to plug in computers, phones, etc. - and the internet WiFi really works. Very large, modern, tastefully decorated indoor swimming pool with well equipped fitness room and jacuzzi - pool water was too warm for my taste but that's an individual feeling and other swimmers seemed to like it. Friendly, well-trained, competent staff at reception, spa and restaurant; always someone who speaks English and anxious to do extra to please guests - wanted to sit outside for brunch one day and they set up special tables and chairs in tennis court area and brought food from restaurant. Also, after dinner in dountown Toluca one night I was too late in picking up my car from parking lot and found it locked up for night. I took taxi back to la Muralla; next morning I requested a taxi to go retrieve car but they insisted on sending me in hotel car instead with driver and someone from hotel staff to insure I got the car and convince the parking lot not to charge me extra for overnight parking. Excellent restaurant with reasonable prices and 24/7 room service. A very good bar and wine list - only complaint: the food portions are too large. We visited with friends who were staying in "top class" hotels in downtown Toluca and saw there was no comparison either in hotel or restaurant; we invited them to come to La Muralla for dinner and showed them our rooms and they were amazed at size and outfitting of the rooms and the selection and quality in restaurant. All agreed the restaurant is outstanding and worth the special trip. Final hotel bill exactly as discussed and really very reasonable for class of hotel. A special thanks to Benjamin, Carla and Alveda at front desk and Ignacio and Victor in the restaurant!
My client set up this hotel. All in all, this is a quaint and cozy hotel, which has Villas in back if you are to stay for extended periods. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mexican (Spanish) is spoken predominantly but English is understood some so there were no real problems communicating. The on-site restaurant, Restaurante La Torre, is small but has excellent food. I recommend for breakfast: Chilaquiles Verdes o Rojo con Huevos (Fried eggs over Frito/Tortia chips with Green or Red sause). the evening meal: Carne Asada con a la Tampiquena All of the food I ate was well prepared and delicious.
I made a reservation online and paid my bill in full when I leave. To my surprise,a few days later the company administering their reservation system charged 45 dollars to my credit card. I contacted the manager right away because they never mentioned on their website that I would have to pay to make a reservation. She offered to solve this problem, but she did not do it. I will never stay there again.
SO if you are traveling to the Toluca area, you would be wise to stay in one of the Muralla hotels. I stayed at the property described as Metepec but it is really just minutes away from Toluca depending on traffic. Here is the good, average, bad and ugly (note , there is no bad or ugly). Full disclosure I stayed in one of their Jr. Suite rooms which was enormous. The room had a separate living room area with a sleeper sofa. The bathroom was phenomenal with LARGE jacuzzi tub and steam room shower as well as dual sinks. THE Good- Hotel is just past the Metepec Galleria mall area lots to see and do. Hotel is extremely secure. I was not charged for parking (just had to tip valet guy each time he brought out our vehicle). Room service offered 24 hours. The pool area and hot tub are indoors and very nice. Nice outdoor tennis court. Hotel is very clean. The hotel spa which we did not use seems very nice. Hotel offered a lovely crib (as we were traveling with a 7 month old) - later on our trip The Mexico City Hilton gave us a crib from the 1950's. THE Average: The bed is average. Not memorable but also not a concern. The lobby area Bottom line- Although I had never heard of this chain of hotels, they delivered on many levels and at a fair price. I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE traveling to Toluca or Metepec.
