I was expecting a regular Courtyard Marriott breakfast but found a very large breakfast buffet instead with a wide variety of cheeses, hams and cold cuts, many types of fruits (papaya, mango, pineapple, grapes, cantaloupe), hot Mexican dishes and the standard American breakfast, as well as eggs cooked to order. Best of all, buffet available until 10:00am! Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel, all speaking English.
I stay frequently at Courtyards and this one charges for their in room coffee. I believe its supposed to be complimentary. Anyway, it’s the first and last time I’m staying there. Management apparently looking to make an extra buck.
I spent a week here for business, and this is your fairly standard Courtyard by Marriott. Of course there is some charm with the Mexican culture, but it's not overly in-your-face. The room I was in was also comfortable, and pretty straight-forward - no frills, but all the necessities you would expect. The only small details I would mention is that the room gets fairly dark if you close the shades (something that is always a positive for me). And in the bathroom, the shower does leak water - but they must have planned for this, because there is also a drain on the outside of the shower door. Other things to note, the breakfast in the restaurant is okay with a blend of Mexican-style and American foods - it's not great, but good enough. Although the coffee is not good, so I found it only appeasing until I can get better coffee elsewhere. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the location was good - near the airport, but not too close where it was noisy. So coupled with the prices, this is a good choice if you have basic or common Courtyard expectations.
I stay at this hotel a lot, and always feel welcomed by the staff. I use their hotel shuttle service quite a bit to get around and their drivers, especially Jose Luis, are always friendly. While it is an older building, the beds are comfortable, and the newly remodeled restaurant is really nice. The food is good, and they occasionally have specials. Victor at the bar always has a smile and gives great service. The central courtyard is a nice place to relax, and there is a soccer field right behind the hotel with a service road around its perimeter. Five laps is one mile. The gym was recently remodeled, and while it is much nicer than what was there previously, it is not quite up to the standard you may expect. The cardio equipment is Techno Gym, which I had never heard of before, and the Elliptical Trainers seem to go into some sort of sleep mode that you cannot wake them from. Have not seen this issue with the treadmills or recumbent bike. All in all this is a very good choice at a reasonable price in Toluca, and is close to the airport.
all good when arrived valvet parking garden view great gym ok should be improved with more equipment room good and clean lounge bar great service all you need is taken care off breaky ok does the deal enjoy
Great service as usual, the staff is very helpful and their English is very good. Had a room facing the interior garden, I never changed the AC setting, and the temp was fine. The restaurant has been completely remodeled recently and it looks great, the food I ate for supper and breakfast was delicious. The bed was comfortable. The original refrigerator did not work and reception had a replacement brought in and set up. I spent a week here again, the hotel shuttle service is always on-time.
So where to begin the room had the largest bed I've ever slept in that was also extremely comfy with a selection of pillows. The room itself was spotless with all the functional amenities you would expect. I had no issues during my 2 night stay and would happily have stayed longer apart from the location. Unfortunately this hotel is located in what was described to me as a very dangerous area of Toluca. It is placed to service the airport and local business parks, which suited me fine during the day, but I was warned not to leave the hotel at night. Other than this there was a free taxi service to our place of work and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was fairly priced and the food was good, although their idea of buffalo wings is a bit off. The breakfast buffet has a good selection that I preferred over the more expensive hotel I'd been staying at in Mexico city. The central courtyard garden area is a great touch and really made a difference after being in the city. The only reason for the 4* is the area and a slightly tired feeling if I could I'd give 4.5.
This hotel has a great atmosphere, The personnel is great to deal with and they are alway attentive to our needs. Rooms are clean and in great shape. The only thing I would complaint about is the "Do not Disturb"tags for the door. It says exactly the same thing on both sides and of course our room did not get made. Refrigerator in room was not working
Stayed here on an airline layover for 4 days. First of all, the staff is superb! Very helpful in everything they do. They were great about recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. The people at the front desk represent the Marriott brand very well. They're very receptive and courteous. Sadly, I don't remember all of their names. Our drivers - Jose Luis, Demetrio, René, and Eduardo - were terrific. They made loads of recommendations and even gave me some of the history of the local area. Jose Luis even came inside and helped me pick out some tequila for my wife! Just wonderful and warm people. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the amenities you would expect. The restaurant was very good. The chef was even kind enough to bake some American flag cookies for us because he knew it was the 4th of July weekend. My only complaint would be the lack of a swimming pool, but I'm guessing that average temperatures in the 60's in July might have something to do with that. I would gladly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through Toluca on business. If your goal is sightseeing in downtown Toluca or Metepec, then it's about a 20-30 cab ride down there, but the front desk is happy to arrange transportation for you. It has been a great experience staying here and I look forward to coming back again soon.
I stay at the Courtyard Toluca Airport whenever I visit Toluca. Hotels and Rooms are very clean. Staff is some of the best people I have dealt with in a Hotel. The shuttle driver Jose is great and always has a smile on his face and is always willing to help. Looking forward to the new restaurant currently under construction.
