Everything about this hotel was average in my opinion. Nothing really stood out. The only real complaints I had is 1) that the rooms don't have individual control of the air conditioning (it's central air), so we spent the 1st night having to sleep in 28degC, and 2) the hotel borders a busy, noisy street. The staff did adjust the room temp the 2nd night so we were much more comfortable. Room size was small as expected, but everything was clean and relatively comfortable. The breakfast cost 1100Yen and was OK.

The room was Tiny and not clean. There was thrash under the bed and desk area from travellers before us. The bathroom had mold. The curtains had yellow stains from smoking. There were bugs in the room who bit me because of the dirt. After that they cleaned under the bed. The bed was very hard, i got daily backpain. They offer WiFi but iT is very slow, iT Will not load. Location was great. A lot to do within walking distance. Staff was very friendly, but did not speak english very well. If u have a problem and want to explain they dont really understand you. I would not reccomend staying here.

When we first arrived there was a communication issue as the Booking agent and the Buyer had not booked accurate dates that matched our itinerary and the staff were very inefficient in helping at 12 midnight We sorted out our dates and then arrived back to which the Staff were going to hold our luggage until we paid a missed reservation fee! We didn't make a separate reservation we had commented we may come back if we needed to, no reservation no confirmation at all, again very unhelpful and somewhat arrogant about the process Few things about the Hotel Non Smoking floors have smoking floors above and below and a Central air conditioning system making for smoking rooms smell through out our NON Smoking room - not well planned A few amenities are not available like daily water with room, Laundry service and irons The bathroom had mold all along the back of the shower, while i understand the bath skin system it is not pretty to look at or see The Rooms are small, very small and hard to fir western luggage into, so this is only a suitable room for short stay or if little luggage Overall would not suggest this location compared to others we have seen in area for cheaper

Stayed for 4 nights. Rooms quite small by western standards but we were hardly in. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Convenient for Ikebukuro station, a 10 minute walk away and Prince hotel for airport bus is about 4 minutes walk. Lots of shopping and eating places nearby. I’d recommend.

The Staff were very friendly, close to great shops and restaurants. Great location. We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 small children so we had to book 2 rooms. Sadly no interconnecting rooms but we had rooms next to each other, so was still convenient.

I recently stayed for 3D2N at this hotel, i already upgraded and paid for a 140cm bed with my husband, myself and my child. We were in for a super big shock because the room is so small and we hardly have space to move ourselves and our big luggage around, because on the website it doesnt seem to be so small. We also had a hard time locating this hotel as its actually quite far away from Ikkebukuro JR station. We lugged two huge bags and finally gave up and took a taxi to this hotel. On the plus side, the hotel manager speaks very good English and he seems knowledgeable. The young lady at the front office doesnt seem to be that good in English. There are also hot drinks available at B1, and you can pick up additional toiletries free of charge which is kind of nice.

I came here last year (2017) in March and was so pleased with the cost/benefit ratio of the place that I decided to come back on my second trip.l! 1. Rooms are affordable 2. Location is perfect: close to Ikebukuro station and the newest neighborhood for youth and young adult culture 3. Staff is friendly and knows English 4. The rooms are small BUT clean and comfortable 5. You get free amenities 6. Breakfast is simple but it is delicious! I'll always stay here whenever I come, Ikebukuro is now my base in Tokyo! Will be coming back on our way home.

Stayed a week at this hotel. Any longer will cause claustrophobia. The rooms are very small and barely enough space for two adults. Once your suitcases are opened, you will have a hard time moving around in the room. There are no storage space to place your items either. The bathroom cannot have more than a person in it. The toilet is very close to the door too. One will bump your head onto the bathroom door each time using the toilet. The sink is ontop of the bathtub. When you exit the bathtubs, you will have to cautious not kicking it with your toes. The bathtub’s height is very high too. A petite or a senior person will have a hard time getting in and out. The television has limited channels. For more television channel selection , one needs to pay a fee, and this fee is only good for 24 hours. The hotel lobby is on the basement, so you will have to drag your luggage down two flight of stairs. There is an elevator you can use, but you must notify the front desk first. This elevator is at the side of the alley and you must enter through the restaurant. If the restaurant is close or cleaning, you are out of luck. The hotel does offer free miso soups, water, sports drink, coffee and free amenities. However, some amenities are limited to Japanese speakers only. If you need directions to places, do not ask the two female clerks at the lobby front desk. They will misguide you to places and send you off on a wild goose chase. Wait until the two younger male clerks are there and ask. They are very knowledgeable of places you need to go. Sadly, these two clerks only works after 6 pm. If you would like to experience a slightly larger than a capsule room, this is the place to be. Otherwise, pay a little more and have a larger room.

The hotel shows lack of maintenance, its rooms are extremely small, even for Japan. The only abuse received in all of Japan is from Mr. Fujita, employee of this hotel. At the time of booking we got confused and we chose smoking room, I begged him to change us because I am allergic. I did not get Mr. Fujita to contemplate my situation. During the night I went through two apneas, terrible moment. The next morning we managed to change rooms. To highlight, the good location of the hotel.

Needed a reasonable priced place to stay for my quick Sakura tour. Got a semi-double room at about USD 70ish/night. Took the airport limo and alighted at Sunshine Prince Hotel and walked over. The two stations on F & Y line are about 10mins ish walk away. A bit troublesome for ppl who have problem walking. Also, the hotel lobby is at basement, you need to go up/down the stairs when the restaurant at ground floor is close. Else you can use the lift through the restaurant, which is great. But there are timing on the door opening hours. Will definitely come back again when the price is right. The bath tub might be too high for senior citizens. Oh well, can just stand near at the wash basin to shower. Nothing is too complicated.
