This was my second time at this property and I chose to return after my first time to Tokyo last year. Location is great just a few blocks from a metro stop, or you can walk a bit more to the main shinjuku station to reach JR lines. Rooms are small, but designed efficiently and clean and comfortable. The only downside is very thin pillows but I knew this from the previous year and used my travel pillow to supplement, and I should have asked for extras from the front desk. If you want to be close to shinjuku this is a great choice.
Hotel is in a great location (subway station 3 min walk away). Room was tiny and bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept in. The pillows are super thin and we had to stuff them with towels to make them sleepable. The hotel does give you some toiletries so no need to bring you own if you're happy to use them (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, shaver, shampoo, conditioner and body wash)
Stayed here for the first two nights of our trip in Toyko. Firstly, it's at a great locale! Right in the heart of Shinjuku, so you're close to a tons of things. The rooms are your typical small japanese hotel room ....two carry on luggages will pretty much fill up the room. The full sized bed is very comfortable and the duvet is certainly warm, however, I was surprised at how super flat the pillows were. I like flat pillows so that didn't bother me, but my boyfriend hated it. You can either call front desk, or just put a towel under it to raise it a bit. I picked a non-smoking room. We were located on the 7th floor, but what was surprising is that the hallways were outdoors. The rooms were very clean, and the bathroom had all the amenities I would need. They even had Q-tips! There's a small fridge as well. They also provide tea and coffee, with a little kettle to make your hot beverage. There's a microwave, ice machine and vending machines on other levels. Do note that the hotel is near the Red Light district, with tons of hostess bars but nothing seedy or uncomfortable. A lot safer than in the U.S. lol Due to jetlag, I would wake up at 5am, venture to the nearby 7-11 for breakfast, and see many hostesses going home - no biggie. People kept to themselves. If you’re just going to sleep in your room, this hotel is perfect!
This hotel is a 10 min walk from Shinjuku station so is a great base for doing things in Tokyo. Lawson and 7-11 stores are a few seconds away and all Shinjuku has to offer are at your doorstep. The rooms themselves are very small, hard to open up a suitcase with no wardrobe space. The beds are very comfortable and the duvet was so fluffy. The pillows were really flat, but if you ask at reception they can give you actual pillows. Breakfast at the attached cafe was not great, so I wouldn’t bother with that. If you’re just going to sleep in your room, this hotel is perfect.
It was my first time in Tokyo and got a deal on this hotel. The rooms are small, but that is normal in Tokyo. The rooms are clean, and quiet. The hotel staff is very nice. There is even a restaurant downstairs, which I did not try, but looked good. This hotel is near the heart of Shinjuku and everything is in walking distance. Subway stops are very close by. The only negative is that the hotel is near the Red Light district, but I did not notice anything seedy. Far safer than anywhere I have been in America. Overall, very pleasant hotel and I would definitely stay again. One tip is that there are several APA hotels around Tokyo and a couple in Shinjuku itself. There is one being built across the street! I bring this up because it is easy to get lost and head to the wrong hotel. Initially, this is what we did. However, the front desk was cordial and sent us to the correct hotel. Otherwise, it was a great stay.
Very easy to find from the airport by train, although the train was very crowded, the nearest train station is Shinjuku Higashi which is the one after the main Shinjuku Station. There is also a tube station right next to the hotel. Easy to check in with the automatic system that many of the hotels use in Tokyo. The room was small and very clean but it maybe a bit of a struggle for tall people 6ft and above will have a problem in the shower. The hotel as a whole is very nice the breakfast at 800Yen is a very good deal. The only real problem we had was the road noise from the police cars and ambulances which can be excessive, however if you want to stay in this area it will be the same for most hotels.
Good for a nights stay, tad noisybut to be expected in a big City and an area full of bars and restaurants. Clean, good amenities, towels, tooth brush, shampoo &cond.Body wash.Tea and coffee.Fridge in room, microwave n ice and vending machines on other levels.Would stay again.
Stayed from Jan 2-4 in this property and I can say that there isn’t anything special about this property, I would recommend staying in the Apa hotel kabukicho tower instead as it’s right in the middle of the kabukicho area. The hotel rooms are tiny, much like the other budget properties in Japan. The hotel bathroom was small too (as expected). The hotel is near a subway station which is a plus and also close by is the Korea town (or so it seemed from all the stores and restaurants). The staff speaks English which is also a plus. Overall nothing too great about the property but worth a stay if on a budget and want to be away from the hustle bustle.
Small room as expected. No view. good location which very close to train station and donki. Local restaurants nearby. But very disturbance that ambulance go to hospital next to hotel that makes noise whole night every night.
So slow wifi speed. Not so close to subway station. But centered in the city. Plenty of stores available. Nice breakfast.
